Nice story. Thanks for the uplifting speech. Did you do this to your ex-boss yet?

I'm in. I hope I win and turn that $100 giftcard into a $1000 giftcard.
Oh, I know it's a rule (in one way or the other) in most companies. I was just going against the guy's point that it was somehow "just". Like you said, it leads to odd scenarios where you don't want to call in sick even if you are....because it's the wrong day to be sick. It's stupid. My work has similar unwritten rules. If you establish a pattern of being sick on specific days... Like Mondays and Fridays, or before long weekends, you'll get a talking to from your manager. Not really like a "don't do this," but more along the lines of "my manager [your boss's boss] takes note of these things..."
We get unlimited sick days, so ... It's really to prevent people from abusing it or using sick days as vacation days (Something I can say I've definitely done at previous employers).
It's annoying when you are legitimately sick on a monday or a friday and you don't want to take a sick day those days because you know somebody will mutter under their breath about you.
Am I the only one who compared my earning with OPs? Good thing I earn much more
Never been to that site, but there are a ton of resources. My favorite thing to do is follow an actual affiliate's blog, someone who isn't selling shit. They tend to post stuff which is absolute GOLD, and you'll end up going from there.
One good blog I like is from some guy called Charles Ngo, at charlesngo.com, he's really helpful, and doesn't try to sell you a damn thing.
For anyone that wants to learn this stuff, I can't say this enough, DO NOT PAY FOR ANY COURSES. Don't pay a single dime to any so-called guru, or some bullshit course promising some guide to making money online, all the stuff is available for free with good research. I've lost decent money years ago buying course after course of useless shit.
Something you have to realize is, people who make these courses give you their methods once they're already saturated and don't work anymore. There are very few things which are worth the money, so just to be safe, don't pay for anything and learn for free.
As far as ecigs, I've run a few ecig offers, like South Beach Smoke, Regal Cigs i think they're called, etc. You get about $35-$40 a pop for each sale, but I couldn't make a profit so I quit those. Tough to get people to buy stuff, you need a much bigger testing budget, so a lot of people make the money getting leads instead.
I'd like money.
And also as much info as you can give on your method. I have time/determination!
I'm very happy in my career and all ... but I also wonder how the hell these online money making systems work... Affiliate systems, at least.
That's not strictly true. There are some fantastic paid resources out there - it's just that the vast majority of them suck.
imgrind.com is a great forum, for example, full of great info. Ruck, the guy who runs it, has insane work ethic, and he knows the affiliate industry better than most folks.
affplaybook.com also has some great information on it. Their tools are excellent too, particularly for ppv/cpv traffic.
The stackthatmoney.com forums are also excellent. So much great information on those forums.
I pay around $200 a month combined from all these forums and they make me a lot of money. Well worth it.
The finchsells premium posts are also excellent - http://finchsells.com/premium-posts/. Finch is one of my favourite affiliate bloggers and his premium posts do not disappoint. I've made thousands from his advice - seriously good shit.
Cashvertising (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1601630328/) and Words That Sell (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0071467858/) are also excellent books, as are the other books listed in Barman's Book Club (http://www.ppc.bz/category/barman-book-club). Seriously good shit.
In terms of free resources, wickedfire.com is, by far, the best affiliate forum on the internet. No other forum compares.
Out of curiousity, what verticals/traffic sources are you running? I've generally stuck to dating on bing/ppv/pof over the last few years, but I'm hitting mobile/adult hard at the moment and loving the results. In the middle of launching a fully blown SEO authority site at the moment, too. Fun times.
I know how it works but the million dollar question is which niche you get into. The good affiliate marketers won't tell what niches they are in for fear of competition.
I'm kind of lost at the whole making a website thing. I got a niche, started to look around some keywords... but... I'm kinda lost after that. That and if I do start a campaign, I know it usually requires some money. Which... I don't really have. -__-Where are you at so far in your progress? I'll try to give you some advice if I can for when I was at that same stage. You can post here if you want, some people think I'm sitting back waiting for PM's from a video game community so I can unload my amazing ponzi pyramid scheme lol.
Holy shit I just got through reading some of the older posts. Seriously one thing I do not understand. Is when people get negative about another person success. Who gives a crap how he got successful. Celebrate the fact that someone bust their ass doing something that is foreign to them and actually had the fortitude to get through it.
Too often I see people view others' success with tainted views. It is a scam, they didn't earn it, they got lucky, that would never work for me etc. Too often I see people celebrate mediocrity, and never give the props to those that inspire and achieve something greater.
He is not asking for people to sign up for anything. Its a damn give away with a great message behind it. I was fired, made a choice instead of laying down, busted my ass. A pretty great message for the new year if you say so myself.
lmao that headline still works! I don't work in the health niche, though.
I honestly don't give a flying fuck what I sound like to you, and I'm not here to baby anyone or teach anyone anything. I made this thread to tell a story, maybe motivate or help someone going through the same shit, and give some shit away like I've done multiple times before:
I don't need to prove shit to you and I don't have anything to sell, end of story bro. If you don't want to participate then get lost. You're gonna end up getting me banned and costing someone on here $100 they could go have some fun with because people like you really just rub me the wrong way with your fucking doom and gloom attitude all the time.
