Depends on the offer and what qualifies as a "conversion". As far as a sales conversion, I'd be ecstatic to have a 5% conversion rate, but the payout is much higher. For leads the payout is lower but it's much easier to convert someone, usually they have to fill out a form or two and just sign up for something. I've never had much success with per-sale offers. I just tried one the other day because I found the direct advertiser for one of the offers I was running through a network, so wanted to cut out the middleman and see if it performs better, cost me $78ish dollars to close one sale and get $35

I just run any good offers I can find through my network. You can find good networks through AffPaying.com. It's basically an affiliate network review site, people post reviews, screenshots of payments to show the network is paying out on time, etc.

MLM is not the same as affiliate marketing. Almost every big name company uses some form of affiliate marketing.

I'd totally try to get in to affiliate marketing if I knew a profitable niche that I was knowledgeable in and where to go from there. I already got the website making know how and have dabbled in something similar before so that's one step done.
I'm guessing videogames isn't a profitable niche to get in.

This is like the internet version of spitting a verse about your hustle and making it rain in the club.
Nah, I used to be into the whole SEO thing, making a website, building organic traffic to it, and hope people click on it or whatever, but it just takes too long. It can take months to get a site going that way, and then once it does Google can smack you and there goes months down the drain.
Paid traffic, I just make the advertisements (or stea*cough* I mean get inspired by any ads that I find), set aside a testing budget, run it, analyze the results, optimize and tweak, etc. I can get results in a day or two instead of waiting months.
