Do the Surprise Ticket. It gives you access to a ten-pull (that you can use at any time, save it for a Legend Fest!) and a ticket that you can redeem for any, currently available, SSR, outside of the "premium summons" such as Bahamut, Lucifer, and Order Grande.
What level are you? I would say Yoda as he really helps with normal+hard magnas(his ougi comes close to oneshotting leviathan). He will make it easy to farm animas for VH magnas/limit breaking.

All of my characters are currently capped at 50, with Narumeia being 60. I need to farm more evolution materials, but I've been busy doing events.
I am tempted to go with Yoda, but I could complete my dark team if I opted for Vampy. I know Vargeras is likely to be replaced later on (Lady Grey), but it would suffice for now and I do have that Bahamut summon...

I do love the Chitoge, but if I went for a fire member it'd be Percival and then Claris. (I'm sorry.)
I also find it funny that they named her Claris, when ClariS sung the opening theme song for Nisekoi (both seasons). That can't be a coincidence.
Why not just grab one of the many rerolls accounts from the 10m celebration? At best you'll walk away with 1 SSR if you reroll then versus the 3+ SSR some of us have on accounts gathering dust

I grabbed Yoda with my start dash and haven't regretted it. Currently level 46 and have farmed 63k stones from event largely due to him.

Tempting to buy the surprise ticket and ticket out Yoda. I'm getting close to rank 50 already but my Fire team is complete anyway and for the most part I have no clear element that I should work on next, having only Feena, Charlotte and Arulumaya as non-fire SSR.

Dont use ST (Surprise Ticket) to summon.
You can grind really good summons ingame for free. It just take time & patience.
1. In the event Tab there are summon battles rotating every 3 days.
2. Grind enough materials and go to shop & choose right banner to go right summons shop
3. Buy summon from shop with materials you have gained via drops by defeating summon dungeon or grind enough and hope that summon drops.
I did my Diablo in 3 days (used over 60 ap pots) from 0 copies to MLB.

I think they're the same thing, only Start Dash can only be bought once and Surprise Ticket shows up randomly.
If that's the case you'd be better off buying the Surprise Ticket now and the Start Dash at a later date, as the Start Dash will pop up every month or so until you buy it.
They are the same, but the difference is the availability of SSRs,
With the start dash, the availability is whatever it was when you created your account.
With the surprise ticket, the availability is whenever you buy the ticket.
For example, all my accounts were created during the legend fest, so a start dash ticket would have access to limited characters like Katalina, Rackam, or Rosetta.
Start dash is a bit niftier as it lets you pick any SSR at the time of account creation. While Surprise lets you pick a SSR at the current time.
Start Dash can be a perk if you started your account when some limited time characters were up that are no longer available for example :Sheep, I want you:

Start Dash:
-Characters you have in the pool are snapshot'd. Any new characters added to the gacha will never be up for grabs in your start dash.
-Will lock seasonal characters or other limited characters so you can buy them whenever you want.
Surprise ticket:
-Whatever is currently in the gacha pool is up for ST, it's the same pool for everyone no matter when they started
-Can't save a surprise ticket like you can a Start dash, so if you don't buy it, you missed out.

Don't trust legfest. In that free 10-pull event, I only got 3 SSR from 130+ pulls

Well, I wasn't going to spend money during leg fes, but I was hoping to get some SSR with free pulls during that time, so that I can sort out what I need/want. I actually wanted to postpone start dash until next month, since my teams are really all over the place right now (except water and fire).
I should probably go windmeme/dark/light to have a team to fall back on when the inevitable earth content comes (although I have fire -.-). I guess I'll mull over it for a while.
I'll give it some thought. I would like him, but I still feel like I should complete my dark team first with Vampy. I have a bit of time to decide, I won't be doing anything right away, haha.
Also, event katana finally obtained. That makes the dagger and the katana. Unfortunately, I couldn't grab the upgrade scroll(s), but there's always next time. I'm just relieved to have the biggest purchase over and done with. So much grinding. :/

No, you dont need Yoda. Think something else, crab Vampy (Iam grabbing Vira prolly).
I actually agree with Rixa, I wouldn't recommend Yoda if you have 2+ (matching, non-water) SSR.
Yoda is good, and let's you breeze through maniac elemental bosses, but you either:
Sacrifice him early after 1-2 ougis.
Babysit him and risk blowing up a run because he got killed.
I'm currently going the babysitting route and it's a pain. Holy saber is pretty good, but doesn't have enough damage/debuffing potential (this class really needs a heal IMO).
The weakness period after ougi'ng is pure bullshit, 3 turns of 2x damage taken. Refreshing stacks helps, but it's on a 12 turn cooldown.
I realise just how much of a boon having Yoda is, but it really seems to be a curse as well. My overall impression of him is that I wish I could stop relying on his gimmick as soon as possible.

So I currently have Claris as my only SSR unit, and my fire team has much higher level limits at the moment, despite feeling overall weaker than my water team.
I'm wondering, looking at future updates, etc. is there an element that outshines the others worth looking into making a team for (specifically using these two upcoming tickets!) or would it be wiser to beef up my fire team? I was reading that fire is weaker than other elements right now because of the weapon grid?
I'm definitely out of my element (HAH!) though, and may have gotten something wrong. Any suggestions? I'm looking at Percival right now.

If you're set on building a dark team, I'd go with Lady Death personally. Vira looks amazing, but she serves pretty much the same purpose as Narumaya. A final dark team would look like:
Narumaya or Vira / Vampy / Lady Death
Go for the Surprise Ticket, pass on the other IMO.
