Seems plausible, listening to some of their works.
Like every online game ever. I'm just a little sad because I doubt I'll be able to get more than 3-4 people together at once for it on PS3. Would probably have some more success on PS4 or PC. It seems like it really kind of demands having at least 12 people running around.

Technically, there already is one as the crews and stats carry over from Max Payne 3 to GTAV but I was so fucking neglectful of the MP3 crew due to giving up on the multiplayer early on.
So yeah maybe a new GTAV crew might be in order.

I rarely play online MP, have zero friends, but GTAO is a different story. I don't think I've been this excited for online MP since Red Faction Guerrilla and its destructible battlegrounds

I can hear Alchemist making that last track from the first gameplay trailer. I don't know about the rest though. We'll see.
EDIT: Also the beginning of the GTA Online trailer. Hmmmmm, idk maybe this has some weight to it.

I know. Still hard to believe we're inside a month now. And GTA is such a rare occasion, so that also makes it hard to believe that a new one is so close.
I'm sort of jaded these days when it comes to gaming, but GTA is one of the few series that I'm always excited about no matter what.

Of course it won't "Destroy new consoles releases". But it will hold a few people back for a while.

I'm canceling my PS4 pre-order for one. It's GTAV + the lack of compelling games, but GTAV definitely has some impact.

Well the potential is there for the online. Hope it lives up to expectations before the douches tries to break the game and concept every way because it's their right and mission in life. First game I've preordered in the last 5 years. (blimp plus I want this now and want to be part of the multi while it's fresh). I'm on the hype train and I hope it doesn't crash.

yeah griefers and kids who exploit bugs are the worst in online games. will be nice to play with friends & gaffers though.
That's a shorter time than the gap between the GTA V Gameplay Video and the GTA Online Gameplay Video.
Factor in Gamescom, and the news that will bring, and the release will sneak up on all of us.
Plus a couple of games in the middle (Saint's Row 4 and Splinter Cell, in my case).
Also, might aswell start to build up a list of movies to watch, to get prepared, we did it with Red Dead Redemption, 3 years ago, and it was great.
You know, Heat, Thief and such.

- Several employees listed the game as ps3/360/PC on their resumes, before changing it to only ps3/360 after the announcement.
- One update to the Social Club client for Max Payne 3 PC, had GTAV images with "coming soon" on them, these images were then removed with another upgrade.
- They publicized GTAV on their steam group several times, something they never did for Red Dead.
- They brought every mainline GTA to PC, usually 6 months after console release.
- One answer from their R* support, slipped and said something like "we'll have more on system requirements [for GTAV] when we get closer to release".
- GTA Online is meant to continue onward for several years, they won't tie it to current gen consoles exclusively.
- They never outright negated a PC version, they always used wording like "we're concentrating on XYZ for now" and so on.
- Nvidia kind of hinted at a PC version, later retracting the statement as an error (*wink*).
I mean these aren't confirmations, but i'd say the writing is on the walls.

Why would they make multiple videos and make a point of saying it was captured from in engine footage and confirmed multiple times its from PS3 version.
After GTA4 running like crap I don't think they would make a big deal of "in engine" and "PS3" version if the current gen consoles ran noticeably worse.
GTA Online is like GTA V single player. Missions, Money to buy tons of stuff, Side missions and activities, even some characters from the single player game turn up. Only you can co-operate with friends and play traditional online multiplayer modes like Deathmatch.
16 players. Which has been stated multiple times in multiple places. And there were around 8 people at most in the parachute shot. So it's not really deceiving.

Like they're even gonna show that pre-release if it's actually real. We still haven't seen many parts of the map yet. CVG even got shutdown in a part of their interview with Rockstar because they didn't want to talk about certain areas yet.
