The electronic music station was awesome in GTA4 and maybe one of the rock stations. Lazlow was terrible last time around, sadly.

Yeah Lazlow is done.

I hope they have a dance station like San Andreas. I still listen to San Fierro Underground.
And the music station that Gay Tony patched in was fucking fantastic, but annoying shares the Vlodivostok FM frequency so you can't listen whenever you want.

I don't care what anyone says; GTA IV is one of the finest games ever created. The amount of content in that game is astounding.
Anyone who has worked in the industry will appreciate what an astonishing achievement it is. A truly incredible game. Even if it's not to your taste you have to be ignorant to denigrate it's lovingly crafted world.

GTA is the only game that really gets me really excited now. Everything else is just noise.
This. All of this.

For me, Red Dead is now included, making it a very short list of two.

Man, what happened up in here since this morning?
  • People can't like both Saint's Row and GTA
  • People are ignorant if they find a game they've actually given a chance and attempted to play tediously unfun
  • Dogs and cats, living together
  • Mass hysteria

Casino it is.

The V and the "FIVE" text. Also the way the cross hash anti counterfeit design is on the logo implying it's dealing with money.
The game will revolve around John Marsden's illegitimate Indian grandchildren rebelling against the feds in the 1970s.

I honestly can't wait. This time I'm going to finish it, I hope.

I played GTA IV for around 20 and something hours and never finish it. Then I tried again but don't know why I couldn't get back and the controls seemed so...stiff. I think it was because I tried to get back after playing Read Dead Redemption.

haha, should have known.

edit: to be more precise, what kind of clues one could extrapolate from this?

No idea. Might be a clue to as to the location, to time period or nationality of the protagonist. Or just general theme.

According to wikipedia:
"1899: A new $5 silver certificate with a portrait of Running Antelope on the face was issued."

Maybe GTAV is actually a RDR prequel.

Can't be. Wont be GTA w/o the Auto.

What? No. The city was boring and there was nothing to explore. The best part of IV was the Grace kidnapping arc.
yeah the city was by far the worst part of the game. Talk about zero personality. In San Andreas I didn't even need a map, I just knew where everything was. I loved that place. In GTA4 it was faceless to me. I beat the whole game and still had to take the taxi to places because I found no enjoyment in constantly looking at the map getting to a place. Just found the city kind of boring.

While I don't think so, I wonder which decade the game will be in. Might be more interesting than the location, as that will be just another US city.
On the other hand, only anything 70s+ seems to favor the side gameplay content & humor of GTA games. Can't also be anywhere close the settings of e.g. the Mafia games of course.

I already said it, but I really want the rural area's to return. It brings serenity after spending a whole day in a busy city. If however GTA V will be situated in Washington D.C. (because the GTA V logo is the same as that 'silver dollar' bill) then I doubt that this will be the case. Which is a shame.

Give me forests and green area's please!

Fuck it, the game takes place in Gotham and you are a street hood trying to survive working for super villians and Bat attacks. Every 5 missions, The BatMan shows up like the bigg sister in Bioshock 2 and you have to run, hide or hope throwing your gun at him works.

Some of my favourite gaming memories are speeding through the fog-bound San Andreas countryside on a motorbike to the sounds of "A guy called Gerald" on SF-UR regularly to take huge, relaxing shortcuts.

Yay, I was starving for some new GTA info. GTA IV was kinda disapointing as a whole, but it's main problem were a lack of variety due to the new engine, and the laggy controls. The laggy controls have been fixed in RDR which uses the same engine, and the first flaw will obviously be fixed since they'll most likely use the same engine. I just hope that it won't spoil my Uncharted 3 playtrough which will release the same day of the trailer. I also hope that the work they're doing with Max Payne 3 will help them make the gunfights/gunplay more intersting, GTA IV and RDR are competent in that domain, but there are so many great shooters this gen, that it's not enough. They really need to improve this aspect of the game.

GTA3: Driving on the Callahan Bridge towards Staunton Island in a banshee at night while it rains, listening to Rise FM. Nothing has topped that for me.

LA/Los Santos/Vinewood (whatever they end up going with) wouldn't be surprising at all... that's what previous reports have speculated as well.

The multiple character aspect could be interesting, but I wonder if we'll see guys from SA, like CJ, assuming it is set in present times.

i bet if rockstar just released the game without any prior announcements it would cause a bigger stir than any marketing promo they come up with.

every game site reporting GTA V just released, forums flooded with "WTF i can buy this?", it would prob make the news again too. they wouldn't have to spend anything on marketing.
