Grand Theft Auto VI will have more inclusion and less offensive content, says Bloomberg

I don't mind too much if this isn't going to go out of their ways to offend every single thing. As long as they don't shove the insane nasty it they them shit lgbtqbbqzlaser garbage hard on us.

Overall should still be a very fun and good game with exploring Vice City and online mode. 95% of my time on V was online anyway messing with around. I do hope they'll increase the player count from 32 to 64.

Meh, even if the game had pronouns, bros gargling each others balls and lady boy dongs in your face every other scene, it would still sell record numbers.

I said it ages ago and il say it again, get ready for Trans Theft Auto. We will see how far they go with it, and to be fair its set in the modern day so half the people are some sort of woke soy brigade anyway.

The real problem will be if they do a RDR3 and you got some Ru Paul looking mother fucker kicking into a gallop trying to shoot you down.

Was probably inevitable given the state of modern gaming, or whatever passes for it at the moment.

This actually was not on my to buy list for other reasons, namely the cash grab that V turned into since the PS3/360 launch.

I have plenty of other games in the collection to keep my occupied, so I don't feel I will be missing out on anything with VI.

But am looking forward to the rage VI is going to cause.

Depending on how far they go this can crush this game. I don't think any game is safe from gamer backlash.
No, it's safe just as games like BG3 are. Nobody wants to see a great game like GTA destroyed and it extends beyond the echochambers of the internet hate brigade.

Outlets putting Veilguard in their top ten games of the year, reports that Snape will be black, Polygon talking about how Veilguard was the biggest snub in The Game Awards nominations, or Bloomberg reporting - without even hinting at a source - that Rockstar gave its writers a "do not offend" mandate.

They're whipping you all up in a frenzy so you share the article or references to the article on forums and social media, driving more traffic to their site and generating more revenue for them.

And you fall for it every single time.

Also, Bloomberg "reported" on this two fucking years ago. There's no update on this. This is Jason Schrier writing a pointless "no shit" article that would otherwise have gotten no traction and adding this in there because he knew that you would all spread it to the ends of the earth with your rage fueling it.

I'll want a hot ladyboy character to be one of the characters where you won't suspect is trans at first but later finds out she has a tree trunk down there. Way better and more interesting than the typical ugly blue hair freaks, demon looking drag, or, it's madm, or land whale.

isn't offensive content the whole reason gta is popular?
Definitely one of the reasons that made going through the story more interesting during the PS2 era. Same for a lot of other games too during that era like Ratchet and Clank and more since the world was more sane and better at the time.

In GTA's case having a amazing city sandbox experience with a bunch of different cars and people allowing you to mess around in different ways also adds to it.

Now, before freaking out, think for a second if anything of value will be lost with this decision

Cant remember of a single part from GTA IV or V where any joke about minorities were relevant to my enjoyment or to the story of both games

I'm sure people will use their heads before posting here, right? Right

Wow, what a headline.

I can imagine the number of clicks that article will get.

Will look forward to more "GTAVI gone woke" & "Rockstar Games focuses on diversity targets" headlines - Source: Rockstar North Janitor

GTA games have always made fun of everyone. They should continue on the path imo.

If they go a more serious route (ex RDR2) I'm good with that, but they better not do anything stupid.

We'll just have to wait and see.

I no longer understand this industry...
Why do they all hate making money so much.
That's why it's absolutely necessary to create problems for yourself out of thin air when you have a product that is guaranteed with a 200% probability to be the best-selling game of the next year...
All that's left is to hope that the impact will be minimal...Otherwise it will be the first GTA that I won't buy...

I don't care for GTA, but generally speaking my enjoyment of games has never relied on offending transgenders.

However, this game series is satirical and makes fun of everyone. If a particular group is exempt from this ridicule, especially by executive order, it puts into question everything they do or do not decide to make fun of.

Also, not being able to joke about certain people... I'd call that censorship or even a dictatorship.

This is so anti OG Rockstar's spirit its aggravating. Nobody was off the table for them to caricaturize back in the day. Somebody really botched this company's culture.

I literally didn't even know GTA5 had trans jokes until someone pointed it out, no one will care about this shit once the game releases.
Me neither.
Frankly, I was too busy enjoying gameplay rather than sticking around and finding jokes.
As such... This change will not affect me. I doubt most will notice the 'change' either.

Was obvious after RDR2.

And if it wasn't, even when contrasted with the first one, that same person would likely have no problem with GTA VI.
Could you please elaborate how it started with RDR2? Just curious tbh.

You should also remove the name 'Grand Theft Auto' from your game as well and boom nobody will be offended.

So, its official: GTAV will be the most sold game of the franchise.

Since it was discussed already not long ago, I'll just copy/paste.

"It's not just Sadie (which is a borderline protagonist) being a literal fucking cartoon, completely out of place in an otherwise somber game, and immune to any kind of consequence from her dumbass actions always putting the gang at risk just because "She's badass", that when put in constrast to female characters in that truly mature and colossal masterpiece of the first RDR (strong female characters, like Bonny or Luisa which are light years ahead as characters, other being actually believable and organic) is the embodiment of pure cringe..

It's also the amount of social commentary, all the random "he's the best of us all, we're lucky to have him" Lenny asslicking, and things of this nature scattered across camp dialogues and from random NPC you would never in a million years find in a product that's a result from creative vision ONLY, like the first one was.

You can feel the interference in RDR2 from miles away. And I've spent literal thousands of hours in it, I love the game, but I would have to turn completely blind in order to not perceive the colossal difference."
