I can look into the reflection in the eyeballs of someone that is watching the video and tell you it's a target render.
The korean samurai ps5 trailer we saw some time ago looked more real than this one.

Yeah but there has to be a baseline of reality, that thing is at best a target render.
If it was made by a respectable developers it would be different, like if it was made by ND, we would have some doubt that it could be real somehow, but a korean nobody? hard to even start a discussion about it.
On the other hand, a korean nobody is making that game with the monkey king that seems to be actually a real thing, so who knows...

Just want to point out that once again a publisher is running a con on gamers. Ubisoft with Avatar. They send out preview codes (PC) to Youtubers known for having console- centric channels in a dishonest effort to make people think the game runs better than it really does.
They obviously stipulate in NDA's that they're not allowed to mention whichever platform they're previewing. I went to several channels (Pushsquare, Mr Matty, God is a Geek, SkyCaptain5) and none of them disclosed this fact. Most people don't realize the only console footage out there comes from carefully curated and doctored official Ubi and Playstation channels . That footage might as well be fake.
This practice is so scummy and there are no Youtubers apparently with an ounce of integrity anymore, ACG not withstanding.

Based on Dragons Dogma 2 looking like a pretty last gen game, I have doubts. We'll, we'll find out soon enough right? Re9 will probably be revealed soon.

massive is known for massive downgrades, but their console versions always ran fine. i wouldnt be too worried about that game.
And every preview i watched mentioned that they played on PC at the event. or were streaming the PC version for those who didnt attend the event.
That said, this is technically Ubisoft's first next gen game so i expect hilarity. At least on the PC front where nearly every game released so far this year has been awful at launch.

The trailer said its a mix of gameplay and cutscene footage and you can tell the cutscenes looked better than the gameplay clips i giffed above.

The Switch has a big advantage on RAM, devs complained a lot about the lack of RAM in 360/ps3. I don't think it would be possible to scale down most PS4 games all the way down to 500 megs of RAM usage. Devs have gotten lazy about optimization as well, they cry and moan when they can't bruteforce something with sheer hardware power these days.

I don't think they did. I think they played PC. I watched the beginning of that video and they didn't mention it was PS5. The girl that did the preview was so god damn annoying I couldn't believe it.

PC creators say its PC. Not a single console creator that I watched would say which console they're on. This is something I've noticed now for a couple years. These Youtubers need to learn to have some integrity.

I dont know how anyone here can judge the looks of GTA6 with such low res clip and screenshots. Game will look good, but its not going to be a needle pusher in graphics due to size and scale of the game. It will always hav a bit of that cartooney esthetic as it never went for full on realism.

last gen games have a look. a very distinct look that gives it away. i think the game looks great even in those low res clips and screenshots. but there is a reason why everyone in the main forum is losing their shit over it, and not just the graphics whores in this thread. people can tell cross gen when they see it. that said, i dont think they will release this on last gen consoles even if its rooted in last gen game design. they will try to avoid any kind of backlash.
Now people saying gta4 or gta5 are being ridiculous. this looks better than rdr2, and pretty much every other open world game last gen. i think it will give cybperunk and spiderman 2 a run for its money and will top both games with better art direction, cinematography and production values.
but sadly its not going to be the matrix awakens moment we were all waiting for.

It has arguably the best cinematography ive seen in a video game. Only game that comes close is TLOU2 but that was 3.5 years ago.The Callisto Protocol on PC (max Settings in Ultrawide 5K and Raytracing with ReShade) looks like a movie, insane graphics.
I bought the PC version and am playing with no reshade at around 1440p internal resolution and it looks phenomenal. The PS5 version looked pretty much the same, but on PC im using high settings so i get slightly better volumetric lighting and fog effects. the biggest thing is the time and effort put into this game by the lighting artists who made every single corridor pitch perfect. of course, the cutscenes look phenomenal but its the random corridors that blow me away because im used to those corridors being used for loading and just cheap throw away levels with poor art and lighting to pad the game length. not here.

After the leaks, is the thread confident that rockstar will beat a c tier developer like Teyon in terms of graphics fidelity? i have no doubt Rockstar will beat them on production values, cinematography and sheer scale, but are we expecting typical gta6 streets to look like this? 2 more days. who wants to bet?

I'm wondering if that rockstar tweet about the leakers and saying they will push it to 2029 was more about them getting frsutrated with the fakes pushing expectations through the roof more than the shitty ones the guys son released.

The dragons Dogma big statue Is somewhat impressive because it seems to be a real object moving through the openworld if on a strict path.
It's more impressive than that overhyped FF16 clown titan boss because at least you can move around it far more freely jump on it from any point go between it legs etc.
My mind is blown that people think that titan boss fight is impressive. It's Big that's it it's just a bigger version of the Coloussus of Rhodes from God of war 2 while somehow being more mechanically shallow and even more linear.
Having said all that has any game delivered more impressive large scale enemies than shadow of Coloussus a ps2 game!?
I don't think they have certainly not if you include gameplay considerations. Maybe Horizon but that's it.

More leaked footage. Dont remember seeing this in the leak last year. Looks like division 2. Not seeing anything next gen under the hood here that stands out. even if the graphics get improved, i dont see how the make a generational leap from this.
