Yeah I probably would let her ride me. Would I want a relationship with a bald muscular chick? I dont know. She would have to have some really amazing personality, and very friendly, not some stuck up condescending bitch. What if you get a pretty wife and she sadly has cancer or some other disease that require her to shave her head, do you dump her? You won't, because you love her, so why would it be ridiculous for some men to love a bald chick? Like I said, I dont like shaved/short hair, I would prefer not to, but at the end of the day, it depends.
I mean i saw midgets i would stick on my weewee and proppeler her till she gets vertigo but still would be my last choise.
Nothinh wrong with bald or short hair women as long as they are feminine in all other aspects.
But bold and muscular and flat chested and ass like a brick wall with a clit that pushes my gag reflexes to its limit....now thats a whole package for the other team but not for me

Way out of context and missing the point. If you’re trying to make a strong woman they should be relatable to that style of person so that it doesn’t seem forced or out of place. It would be like putting my characters dick on his forehead then when I get mad saying I lack imagination.
What does a “strong woman” look like to you? I don’t think this character even puts off that vibe - she’s not anywhere near as muscular as Abby was in TLOU2. I just don’t think your argument holds and it’s clear that you think there’s a certain way a woman has to look to appear “strong.” This is my point about lack of imagination - if something isn’t exactly how you think it should be you write it off completely as trash - it’s weird.

That's a chicken-and-egg situation.

Maybe you don't see it in real life because people generally dislike it.

Go ask a bunch of random men what their least favorite hairstyle on a woman is. We all know what the answers are going to be.

So if Neil could just step forward and explain who his target audience is and how he plans to recoup the cost, that would be great.
Maybe the point is that there isn’t an “intended audience” for the game beyond people who are into sci-fi.

She's just not a well designed character for me to have interest in. Perhaps it's rooted in the lack of hair for me, perhaps it's an amalgamation of many smaller things wrapped up into the disinterested package that is what we have with her model now.
They haven't shown much of the character but yeah from what we've seen, the character itself, from what has been shown, does not seem to be that interesting (nothing to do with how she looks for me anyway) and I hope they don't lean too heavily towards the political side of this culture war. I am afraid that it might.

What I saw was interesting but this is the first time in a while, where I am not the most excited about a game from Naughtydog. Lucky for some of us there are other games we can play. I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised, but we shall see.

The same people who chose her for You, Sabrina, The 100, or the Uncharted movie?
Doesn't make her a snowflake. She's a celebrity actor in a game looking like how she looks in it. Nothing more. She's even happy about the whole thing and being involved in it.
A woke show, a feminst show, a woke feminist show and a Sony movie. There are tenthousands of actresses and it's no coincidence that Sony of all things chose those two for Ghost and Intergalactic. I really hope Sony would fail with this one, but budget and marketing is just too big for that.

Sure, you can call all the shows and Hollywood woke if you like but that doesn't make her a "special snowflake" in it. You were making it seem like she was chosen for being "special" rather than already a celebrity in a lot of shows. Pretty much every show can be considered "woke" to anybody making those who aren't the "special snowflakes" in hollywood perhaps.

The character looks fine and is great. It’s just the acting and character lines that throws me off. Like it’s trying to hard to be cool/clever and funny.

The way she drinks out of that kids cup through the straw, thats when I knew I dont like this character, its going to be a whole game of this "bad bitch" personality and thats not for me no matter the look.

The problem is that the moment we start the game we KNOW we're open for some lgbt / political lecturing by Druckmann.

It's there. Whole TLOU2 felt forced, this is gonna be the same.

There are many strong women who are women and look sensational.

So dont tell me that a woman can only considered to be strong if it resembles a mutant with flat tits or looks like a full on feminazi that shits and hates on man.

To give you one example

The look choice comes down to looking transgender, that’s it. If transgender looked different, it would look like that. And that’s the problem, the choice is just political activism, the same woke politics we have been relentlessly fed for years now by the likes of Neil Druckmann and that every passing day look more ridiculous to more people.

We don't have much info on the main character or the reason for shaving her hair since the group photo was taken (on the wall where she has a FULL head of hair).

Could be story related, either way some folk dont care, prepared to get embarrassingly worked up over polygons. Honestly some of the most pathetic reasoning to cry I've seen in gaming. Second only to those that'll happily bash a game because it's PS exclusive until it's not. See Death Stranding.

Especially for a ND game which'll likely be a banger. I'm there DAY ONE!

Some people just have standards bud. Woke garbage is unappealing to the majority, best you just accept that fact.

Can't wait to find out the combat is qte in between dei lectures and bad quirky storyline. That trailer has all the markers.

Neil was probably thinking about this instead

Not a fan of the character design but the teeny bopper pop star edits don’t really fit “bounty hunter” either. Really, it just should have been Jak’s game.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I see all the people disrespecting this main character,

Will Smith Slap GIF by Xavier Degraux

It's not the character people are reacting to but the obvious template being applied again and again. It's kind of like when Sonic was a huge hit and popular. A bunch of devs applied the edgy animal template to all their games thinking that is what made the game successful. The same thing is happening here, except the whole huge hit and popular thing.

Each to their own makes no difference to me. The only thing I’ve accepted to great amusement and hilarity are people blowing a fuse over a video game character made up of pixels. Making a judgement this soon over a teaser, no gameplay details or story to add context to the game.

It’s not that big a deal. If you’re a fan but her appearance prevents you trying a long awaited new ip from Naughty Dog then go right ahead your loss. That’s stopping yourself playing a game with very very little to go on, just her looks. Shallow anyone. I guess your entertainment never includes people with shaven heads. A truly inspirational and noble attitude to gaming. I’ll still be laughing whilst enjoying greatness.

Abby was the worst character I’ve probably ever encountered in a AAA game. Complete cringe and exactly what I’m talking about as a forced character. It was so bad I couldn’t even finish the game and I loved TLOU 1. She was so poorly written it was mind numbingly cheesy and bad. Abby having muscles was the least of her problems but still pretty ridiculous.

This character looks totally cliche, derivative and eye rollingly boring. It’s the funniest thing that devs think this is being edgy when it’s the lamest laziest way to have a strong woman. A strong woman can actually look like a woman. Crazy I know.
