This was one of those "Holy shit, WTF?!" wrestling moments that I'll remember forever.

"Holy shit, WTF" pretty much sums it up. :lol They got shot up that line!

Classic WCW - old washed up talent with neglible skills (some hilarious "moves" from Hogan there) but enough crazyass stunts and cheese to make it somehow enjoyable. Man I miss the WCW/NWO angle (the first 6 months anyway).

And Sting is still the greatest Crow ripoff in the history of entertainment.

wait does this site limit only how many downloads?

or bandwidth of the file determines how many times it can be downloaded?

if its 100 downloads (regardless of size) ill toss up my rocker reunion and marty angle match

(55 megs and 110 megs)

OMG

That was nuts

I like how only DDP was worth saving lol

Just let Benoit get killed :/

If Sting ever shows up in the WWE I'll mark out

Except for the Sting stunt, that's pretty much how every episode of Nitro ever ended.

I miss The Brain. Too bad he was seemingly going senile (or worse: boring) by the end of Nitro.

I like how in wrestling whenever there is a lot of guys fighting they all just kind of wander around and throw a few punches. It's like "There's so many of us here no one will notice if I just take a break!"

goddamit, Griese!
anyone else remember the Three way match between DDP, Raven, and Benoit from Uncensored way back?

that still is the single best match I've ever seen. that was so fucking good.

Heenan didn't enjoy his time at WCW. They didn't let him be himself basically. Shiavoni was a major dick to him. He was getting paid well and had medical benefits and stuff, so he just did whatever they told him. He was pretty much putting on an act the whole time. Every once-in-a-while he was able to say some funny stuff, but he was never anywhere near as entertaining with WCW as he was with the WWF.

Pete Carroll Owns Me
Man that was the Nitro that made me decide to start saving them when I taped them. That was like the end of June. I have every Nitro from then on til the first week of 98. But I screwed up a few weeks later and taped another Nitro over this one.

All that clip needed was Tony screaming at the top of his lungs "FANS WE ARE DESPARATELY OUT OF TIME WE'LL SEE YOU NEXT WEEK ON NITRO!"

Ah, memories.

I remember much more classic endings, but yeah those were the days...

I was a big nWo fan and the Nitro endings >>>>>>> anything WWE had...

mostly because they production people timed everything to the second so just as a bunch of dramatic things started happening, it would lead to one super-duper dramatic climax with the announcer's classic "and we are... out...of...time" and you'd be feeling as jacked up and excited and in disbelief and couldn't wait for the next one...

WCW '96-'99 > WWE late 80's to '95 >>>>>>>>>>> today WWE

Hell yeah! That was distinctly memorable for me. I wasn't a huge WCW fan but somehow I seen that. I think the ppv came in or something unexpectedly. Anyway, I did love Raven and DDP and that match kicked all kinds of ass. Those were such great times when you had 2 networks running quality shows at the top of their game. Ratings really meaning something week to week. It's so sad to look now, and remember what glory years we had.

That clip was awesome! I LOVED WCW back in those days. I used to hate them too, like how they'd steal all of WWF's best wrestlers, but even I could'nt deny the awesomeness that was the nWo angle

Is this the time when they went up incredibly fast? I remember something about this being a malfunction or something, and that speed was not intended...

Haha. I bet Kevin Sullivan was really punching Benoit too.

No Shit, the man stole his wife.

:lol

Benoit is still the Toughest, meanest wrestler I have ever seen.
I wouldn't fight him for all the gold in the world.

Don't forget Rock vs HHH every single fucking week.

The "crow" Sting angle was one of the biggest cockteases in wrestling history. They dragged it out for a few years, then had one of the worst Starrcade matches ever as the payoff.

WcW was already starting its downhill slide at that point, so I don't think many people took notice.

oh the Jay Leno thing was cool too, even though I was an nWo fan...

watching the Tonight Show and seeing Hogan was funny, and even though I didn't like WCW and liked nWo, I thought it was cool how DDP trained both Karl Malone and Kevin Eubanks to do the Diamond Cutter in the matches...

the Dennis Rodman in the nWo was awesome too, since I was a fan of the bulls when Jordan/Pippen/Rodman were doing their championship and in general was a fan of Rodman...

post 99 dude. Thats when it started to suck

I think he meant the DX HHH vs. Nation of domination Rock fued. Which is one of my absolute favorites. Rock taking over NoD. Giving Farooq the potrait of himself was genius. Then they had a fantastic ladder match. And after that, Rock faught smaller names and gained popularity as a heel, which is maybe when I liked him the most. Survivor Series then, he went bigtime face. Matching Austin about. 97-98 more so is my favorite. The ministry is where it started to wear thin.

This reminded me of when Master P and the No Limit Soldiers showed up.

That's something we DON'T need...wait, that was the whole "I hate rap" gimmick right? Nevermind, that was fun.

I have a soundbite somewhere on my computer where Tony just exploded going into a commerical break on Thunder..."That's coming up next on THUNNNNNNDAAAAAR" I'm going to see if I can find it and post the link.

And here's some Tony LUV (and you can play guess dem legs too if you want):

I got a good Sting "desire" tribute video that shows alot of stuff from his Crow gimmick.
Shows footage of Sting coming down from the rafters, beating up the entire nWo, winning the belt from Hogan etc..

It'll be up in just a bit...

One of my last great memories of Sting was when he came down from the rafters with the nWo shirt on, and Hogan was gonig nuts. He then took the shirt off, and started pummelling them.

That's what I remember, anyway. It was like the week before he went red and black, and I've heard that after the show went off the air he actually took his second shirt off as well, and he was wearing a red and black nWo shirt underneath it.

I stopped watchnig WVW when they fizzled Sting out after that terrible match with Vampiro. Who the fuck is he to beat Sting?

:lol I remember this stuff, I actually used to watch WCW back during that time. I don't ever remember being any kind of a fan for WWF/E though. Yeah, then I grew up and just look at wrestling as my only source for softcore gay pornography, so I watch it every now and then. Awesome stuff.
