Grok AI now available to add instant context to any posts on twitter / X, and you don't need a subscription

I would believe the group who has actual verified empirical evidence to back up their claims. The Earth is a globe group has that. The Earth is warming up due to human activity group has that as well.

While Chat GPT isn't perfect, it sounds like the bias was not on its part in this case. You just didn't like the answer because of your own opinions about the topic. Don't complain about "I'm just trying to learn the truth" if you're performing backflips to manipulate the prompt into forcing that answer you want.

When you start an academic inquiry by looking for the answer you already believe in, that leads to bias. Instead, observe the evidence before you first, then draw a conclusion from that.
I understand what you're trying to say. Biases are human and I'm certainly not free of them.

To me, it just doesn't make sense logically with the information that I have. It's easy to say "dude, just suck it up". But that would be blind believing. I'd rather look like an idiot here with lack of understanding than blindly believing things without even trying to understand them.

Let's get back to Grok AI. This is leading nowhere.
Agreed.

I don't have that option when I click the three dots. You're sure it's available for free members?
It's not when you click the three dots, it's right next to the three dots. It looks like a little square with a slash in it. And as I said before: "It has to be the tweet itself on the website, not an embed, and not any of the responses in the thread. Although you can click a response in a thread and then click the button for that tweet."

And it seems to help if the tweet has a fair amount of text it can use to recap or provide context. Some fairly short tweets don't seem to have the option. You can also access the AI itself here: https://x.com/i/grok

AI also has bias since it was designed by humans and scrapes information provided by humans. It has even more bias when the prompts are generated by those same biased humans.

Perhaps you should seek out further information from primary sources instead of asking Chat GPT to tell you what you want to hear. FunkMiller FunkMiller has already kindly provided a couple of them.

It's easy to say "dude, just suck it up". But that would be blind believing.

That might be easy, but I don't believe in that approach which is why that's not what I'm telling you. I'm also not telling you to blindly believe in what Chat GPT, or Grok, or any other AI tells you either.

I'd rather look like an idiot here with lack of understanding than blindly believing things without even trying to understand them.

Your desire to find truth and understanding is commendable. If you're open to suggestion, I'd say that what you need to work on is a personal guideline to verify the credibility of sources of information that you consume.

Yes, but "man-made climate change" isn't among them.

You are playing a semantics game, you just don't want to admit it.

Fundamentally, both you and Rentahamster Rentahamster beleive humans are affecting the global climate, as do I.

And yes, all these AI have guardrails.

Now, can we get back to discussing AI and how to get it to produce forbidden fruit?

Interestingly enough, Grok has also now been integrated into user profiles. By hovering over anyone's name on their post, you can select "profile summery" to get a general overview of any twitter profile. People are finding some inaccurate statements in their summaries, though, so I wouldn't treat anything it says as a certainty. The feature also just launched, so I would guess it'll become more accurate over time.

Did Grok 3 launch last night

Also I am seeing that Grok 2 is no longer free today - is that a glitch for me or are others seeing that please?

Same issue for me. Zero announcement about the change though so for now I'm wondering if this is a bug related to the rollout of Grok3?

grok is getting its own website

Can anyone confirm this is the case:

Grok3 needs an X Premium+ subscription (around 200pa)
Grok3 is blocked from the UK and EU due to local regulations, so even if you have Premium+ you cant get it without VPN access so you appear to be in USA..

Edit: Feb19: grok3 is now available in UK and EU foc https://grok.com

I can't find anything up to date on this. Only almost 1 year old news that Grok is not usable in Eu. And since Grok2 works, 3 should also work without any problems.

I now see that grok3 is available to me through X although I am in the UK. They are rolling it out.

Also the website grok.com is now up

Some might say they don't use Google now anymore. For anything. I am one of them.

Sounds like Europe is being left behind. Not surprising.

I just tried the non-thinking Grok 3 and it's quite slow. Will paying for it make it faster? It reminds me of GPT-3 speed-wise. Claude 3.5 is much faster.

Grok is rapidly improving so they must have some solid engineers on the team. The image generation is pretty good now and doesn't have restrictions on public figures. The text model doesn't censor the truth or sensitive information like other models do, which can be a plus. So it has some unique selling points.
It's really good now. In terms of image generation, normally these AI models mess up fingers, legs, and eyes, but grok has gotten muc much better at these. Can create some stunning images..I love it.
