They didnt start over. As far as i remember they said the Cyberpunk code was outdated and not what the current build was using. The hacker actually got the source code of Cyberpunk, Witcher 3 and Gwent. And tried to ransomware CDPR that gave him the middle finger, after that the hacker put all the source codes up for auction.

Yeah that’s a bunch of bollocks, CDPR leak happened after the release of Cyberpunk and it’s impact on calendar was the next patch at the time being delayed for a few months, they did not start over at all lmao

I was just being pedantic really, my point is, if its come officially from the company themselves then it cant be a leak as its officially released information and if its not officially released then its an uncontrolled leak. They like to refer to it a a leak in case there any legal ramifications from what they are doing so they can say they didnt officially provide that information (even though they did), Apple do this all the time.

It doesn't mean they can't scrap the old versions and fully move over to ps5/SeriesX. The old devkits could have been used as a testing ground for new ideas and just prototyping but then be switched over to take full advantage of the new hardware and add even more functionality.
