Homies
I'd say it's because most of the original people have left and the new bunch couldnt give a fuck and just want that money whilst riding off better work..One thing that’s really astounding is the complete lack of concern by Rockstar for the care and quality over their most famous IP. Releases as atrocious as this bring the company into disrepute. Even if they outsourced this they should have had their own stringent standards and quality control to ensure 3 of the their most iconic games were being handled with the respect they deserve.
When Nintendo licence out the use of Mario they‘re super strict with how he is portrayed visually and that his likeness is in keeping with Nintendo’s to an insanely micro degree. A friend who‘s worked on Mario v Sonic at the Olympics told me that it was insufferable how often Nintendo were interfering with every aspect of Mario’s development in that game.
Why can’t Rockstar hold their own iconic games and characters in such high regard?
Can a Videogame achieve something like that, i mean movies, for sure, but games? Are we quickly approaching "so bad, it's good" territory?

TouchèRide To Hell Retribution?
Didn't you mind the absence of fog in GTA 3? Or has it been fixed?Finished the GTA 3 main story last night. Had maybe 6 crashes and a little other weirdness, but nothing game breaking. It certainly could have been more polished, but I had a great time with it and am completely satisfied with my purchase.
Now onto Vice City!

oh but GTA 3 did and not to little. Vice City was less fog though. As far as I remember OG 3 and Vice City didn't have fog.
Oh ok, you meant foggy weatheroh but GTA 3 did and not to little. but Vice City was less fog
Yeah, the image could use some haze in the background, but again not game-breaking.Didn't you mind the absence of fog in GTA 3? Or has it been fixed?
Aight, have fun with Vice City. Those games are still fun today.Yeah, the image could use some haze in the background, but again not game-breaking.
Yeah I'm currently replaying the OG Xbox version and I'm just amazed by how much atmosphere they delivered in this game. Fog is heavy and Portland is gritty. The patches are making improvements but nothing is replacing the originals in my book. I want Rockstar to keep pushing out the updates - these games deserved so much better.oh but GTA 3 did and not to little. Vice City was less fog though.
You can fly through the trees in San Andreas:
Those who own the originals already have the definitive edition. Those who own the originals should get the "definitive" for free.

I liked all the geometry glitches, lolWish my ps2 could do visuals like that back in the day.
Don't know why these idiots think It was a good Idea that the vehicles explode faster than in the original.I tried to play GTA III but I just had to stop after a few hours... I can't do it. Everything is just so off and there are so many little things that I can't even enjoy myself. Felt like every 10 minutes I had to deal with a cardboard box that would smash my car like its a wall, or a knocked over fence that wouldn't let me walk through because the game still thought it was there, or a vehicle that caught on fire and exploded quicker than it was physically possible for me to get out of it, or..... it just kept going on and on.
I'll just replay the PS2 version.
I think it's just a variable they didn't bother adjusting after they made some other changes in the code that affected it.Don't know why these idiots think It was a good Idea that the vehicles explode faster than in the original.
Been playing this (San Andreas) since launch and thoroughly enjoying it still, crazy how much of a better game it is than GTA V and that's down to realistic and satisfying car physics. So much fun. V is truly embarrassingly gameplay wise in this regard. SA is the best arcade handling in a sand box ever, no doubt in my mind.
Not without annoying crashing when restarting missions so regular manual saves are advisable. Really does look stunning at times with the new lighting. Unparalleled vibe cruising through Vegas, power sliding round corners during sunset in a Banshee with the GOAT soundtrack running. Just one of those many GTA moments where everything comes together.
Such a shame this thread is nothing but sheep posting. Definitely going for the platinum before moving on to Vice City.
It's a million times better than the PS2 version. There's no way anyone would go back to the PS2 version after playing this, no matter what they claim. PS2 version feel about 100 years old, in all the worst ways. No mission restart, no camera, X for accelerate, looks like complete ass.Glad you're enjoying it, but would you call it the definitive edition? If you do, then you probably need to question the definition of DEFINITIVE.

Didn't know that they couldn't get the minigun right in the first place.
How the hell can you Code a minigun without spinning?
