Well that's pretty cool.
I see. Well, I think I might be looking for someone to finish it since I'm still lerning my class and haven't optimized the equipment yet.
Hmm already using X for skills. I'm running out of keys to hotkey help.
I'm going with shift X I think. X is normally my heal so there might be some disasters along the way.

Just saw the new spec weapons and PoF armor datamining info. Multiple sets have an open chest for men and closed for women. Praise be unto anet's armor design team for seeing reason.
LS Season 3 is the best time I've had with the game probably since Season 1 came out and was lots of fun even if all over the place. I've only done the first chapter and map but everything is a lot of fun and the right kind of chaotic now that I'm playing Mesmer. If PoF and S4 can continue even this level of design then I will be very happy for a long time.

I have super high hopes for PoF's story. HoT's story was excellent for the most part, it was just a matter of quantity. And LWS3 is the best the game has ever been.

I think HoT's story suffers from having iffy gameplay but a good story. Feels somewhat similary about season 2. Season 3 shored that up decently.
Might as well do it in a group. The Zhaitan fight is far easier because you can constantly respawn and not lose progress during the fight. On Hearts and Minds if you die you lose progress and get sent back to the beginning of the phase.
As a Druid Ranger that got very frustrating when you put 20+ minutes into a fight and then have to restart on dying. Plus the fight itself is going to be more fun with multiple people.

Eh, I don't pay much attention to what's meta or whatever but I think Ele is fine personally. (granted, I didn't come back to the game for 11 months and just came back after the balance patch but still >.>)
edit: quick question, the path of fire prep pack, does the bag slot expansion apply to the character that buys it or can I buy it on my main (which has all bag slots expanded already) and use it on one of my other characters?
When you buy it from the gem store you receive an account-bound item, that you can then use on the character you want by double-clicking it.
If you ever buy it by double clicking on the locked bag slot on the left of your inventory it'll immediately unlock the bag slot you clicked-on (after confirmation) without giving you the item I mentioned.
Edit : Oh seems like the last patch also fixed the afro in Character selection

Thanks ^^ Just got the 4000 gems that came with the path of fire ultimate tier and deciding what to spend it on. Might do that... or maybe not. Will decide later lol.
edit: Karma needed for any gear or anything these days? asking cause I just got to Ember Bay, did a task and can now buy petrified wood + a mini for Karma. and I have barely enough (145k or so)
The permanent mistlock sanctuary pass is well worth it. Especially if you have a account inventory slot spare to put it in.

The eles in my fractals today were consistently doing ~35k dps.
Just a suggestion.
It would be awesome if maybe the guild or something could put together weekend groups to do the HoT meta event chains. For new players getting into HoT and for returning players that may not have done them yet.
It could be a thing on Sunday or something each weekend until PoF release.

The keybinds are in-game so you can look without being cheaty. There's a mount-related context-sensitive something something checkbox in there as well which reminds me of the double-tap to dodge option so I think they've put some effort into avoiding a mass of new keys to learn.

Considering they dropped a big patch that contained most of the assets, it's very likely.
Completed Episode 2 of LWS3 and cleared Ember Bay Map Completion.
Last instance had too many enemies for just me and my fiance, called in one random and two people from one of the guilds I'm in. We destroyed them easily.
Got all achievements from Dragon Vigil thanks to that, apart from the bomb one but I found out we can do that and even if we fail, it still counts so replaying it for that won't be too bad.
Just got the JP and Hungry Hal mastery points wise there. I hate that they fixed the exploit for that Hal one. 50 bloody apples and such a big distance to get them ;_;

If you logged in when they were current then they are on your account forever with no further effort required, so you've got episode 6 from playing right now, and episode 5 if you logged in between May 2 - June 25, they're not going anywhere.

I never get the point of these things...its not as if its a pain to access anything in this game since WPs are everywhere. I cannot fathom how they can think they are worth 1000 gems. Even with 15k in the bank I wouldnt convert any of it to gems for this, and its hard to imagine people spend real money on gems and buy things like this. Maybe its old age lol.
On a different note, its cool that once you use your POF level 80 boost you are left with a new shared inventory slot.
I too used to think that the accountancy waypoint was all I'd ever need.
(This might sound snarkier than I intend, but really, I can't even remember life before the royal terrace)
I have every single one of those area passes. I regretted the Verant Brink one until I realised it made reaching some places much easier for map completion. The other ones I'm super happy with.

I'm partial to the first pass, the skyship one, since it also provides quick access to the Pact gate network since you can just glide down.

Dragon's Stand is hella fun, particularly the final two fights. It's excellently designed for the most part. It's to get the map rewards require repeating it waaaay too many times compared to other map rewards. Also the final fight is a bit tedious unless you have maxed out gliding.
Mistlock Sanctuary is the best pass, if for no other reason than the music. The Fractals Portal also puts it heads and shoulders above the others.
The Royal Terrace is also great. Divinity's Reach is one of the coolest cities in any game so a secret area in there is great. I kind of wish that it was not only convenience but felt a bit like an actual lounge you could be comfortable hanging out it.
I'm 800 gold away from crafting The Shining Blade. I'm in the final stretch!
