What happens is that fanboys (unconsciously or consciously) connect their own feelings of identity and self-worth to that of a specific game, company, product etc. So when you "attack" or "criticize" this entity, you automatically attack them as well. Thus, they will feel threatened themselves and will consequently lash out at you.
Heck, I mirror your sentiments. I just got my first 80 today and I loved many, if not most, aspects of the game. I'm already at a loss as to which other class I want to play, it was that fun! The one thing I'm upset at is the balancing, mostly in dungeons...

Any Mursaat?
They really need to work on the auto attack wonkiness (ctrl + right click on a skill to auto attack). When attacking with the #1 skill for my rifle, just a plain attack, and putting it on automatic it's just so damn flaky, it'll stop at odd times and it's way too random to put to use in a big zerg since it's hard to tell what's going on anyway. Just really annoying and I don't usually bitch about shit, it's a major part of the combat for me.
Ugh, I can't 100% this game with my main! Every time I see an uncovered zone I think of all the new content better suited for an alt (story and progression-wise) and I just TP back to LA or Orr. But I also want that little star thingie. Crap.
The star achievement on character select is for one character. Lame.Is completion over your account or character?
So what button are people assigning for dodge? Spacebar is the most popular I assume..

Nope, I'm using the side buttons of my mouse.
Yeah that would be ideal but the issue I have is the game doesn't recognise half the side button on my mouse.
Logitech? Bind the mousebuttons to keys.
Do you do that through Setpoint? I'll have to install it
I've come to the conclusion that the stuff is by far the Mesmer's best weapon.
Man I just realized Ive been using the same gun for the last 15 levels, Ive gotten like no rifle drops
and now I bought one for my level for 80 copper, is it even worth buying stuff from NPCs when its so cheap on the TP?
It costs at least 525k karma to buy your legendary.

I have it set to my middle mouse button, when you click it in I mean.
man the high level zones (60+) definitely feel less developed. It doesn't help that there are so few people or that a bunch of events are in limbo
I use middle mouse button too. Double tap sucks ass.
That is awesome that they are still implementing so many cool changes in the previous game. I'm half tempted to go back to my elementalist in GW 1 now just to check it out...The Elementalist keeps getting better and better...in GW1.
My first time fighting Jormag and this is what I saw
This is fucking nonsense that Anet needs to fix ASAP.
"Really? I find that I have more fun past 50 with the DEs."
I'm impressed that you can enjoy bugged NPC escort missions.
Except it's NOT action based. Missiles track you, melee hits are unavoidable mostly unless you just randomly dodge and avoid them. YOU TAKE PLENTY of unavoidable damage. The notion that GW is more action based is flawed - you can move while casting, but aside from your one roll every 5-10 seconds you don't actually have any 'action' escapes. Don't patronize me or talk down to me like I'm some kind of idiot and can't think for myself unless a boss mod tells me what to do, it just weakens your argument. I've not heard anything but ambiguous 'learn to play' cries from anyone so far about why dungeon design is actually good. You're right, people are dicks and say 'l2p' in wow all the time, but if you asked me to describe what you need to improve on, I could do it. 'improve your gear' is not compelling gameplay, nor should it be a valid stance in a game with scaled gear (maybe for explorable modes it should since they're 'endgame'...except that AC and CM at least, are not of course). "play better" "You just don't get it" "it's not like wow don't play like wow" doesn't say anything at all. It just tells me that you yourself don't actually have any clue how the dungeons are 'supposed' to be played either.
I'm pretty sure the bolded claims are untrue. You can outrun missiles. Missiles in fact fly along a path to you, but only certain magical ones curve. (I believe.) They also obey flightpath rules where objects and players can intercept them on their path. As for melee hits, you can simply step out of a melee hit radius and not be hit. There are also multiple escape skills in the game. As a Mesmer, I have Swap, Feigned Escape and Blink.
So for example, if a Ranger fires an arrow at me and I use Feigned Escape, the arrow will hit my clone. Not because the clone becomes the arrows target, but because the clone stands where I stood when the arrow was shot and thus absorbs the hit.
Funniest DE moment today for me was probably doing an escort all by myself and only getting a silver medal for it. Forever second place!
Holy shit. There are so many bugged dynamic events in later areas, I was beyond frustrated.
The final areas are pretty disappointing in my opinion, whilst some of the events are alright they fail to cumulate in a way that's fitting for the final 2 areas of the game. You'd think the lack of heart quest would mean the areas would be raddically different from the others in the game. Featuring a load of interlinked DQs which change the scope of the land in a much more dramatic sense than those in other areas, with a huge boss fight at the end which would change based on how you faired in the DQs leading up for it. Instead you get the same events you've seen throughout the game with more bugs that only lead to a few alright shrine bosses which lack anywhere near the amount of impact the the bigger battles in other areas (especially the dragons).
The bolded claims are very true. It's not hard to run full bore in circles around a mob ranger and watch as EVERY SINGLE ARROW curves and homes in. LoS? Only works on some attacks. That Sorrow's Embrace boss I mentioned is on a platform with rails all over, the fireballs go straight through them. straight through obstructing walls, straight through everything. this is common in most dungeons.
