Wow kum is freaking amazing, sadly I don't have the execution for her. She has to be one of the hardest fighting game characters I've seen in a long time

Loves Robotech S1
i had a bunch of good games earlier, but i'm starting to have weird connection issues

just now i managed to get into a game with someone and when it started we were playing as each other's characters :p

Well thats bullshit, might as well just buy the US version then
In my country, the EU physical edition + Kum is the same price as the US digital.

So I guess it depends on whether you like/need your games to be physical instead of digital.

Additionally, I'd like to support PQube, the EU publisher that picked up the rights to GGXrd post-Sign.

Well, yeah, for starters it's confirmed when you buy the game and it doesn't list Kum as included DLC? It does include Raven so you don't have to unlock him.

http://www.ricedigital.co.uk/store/guilty-gear-xrd-revelator-ps4-lets-rock-edition

Kum is available for purchase separately for about 7 euros. I think it will be up on the 10th.

Hmm If you go by the description on PSN it seems Kun is included if you pre-order the digital release.
https://store.playstation.com/#!/en...rder/cid=EP4293-CUSA04759_00-GGXRDREVEUPRE100
Pre-order includes:
- Full Game
- Access to pre-release demo (available in April)
- Additional character 'KUM HAEHYUN' DLC (upon release)
- Additional character colour pack DLC (upon release)

Hey, did you pay attention to Ky in revelator? Anything different or it same old same old stuff? Ugh guess I have to go back grinding out that character, because I can't stand dealing with all the nonsense when playing Sol.

I'm doing the tutorials but when it comes to combos, specially the ones that begin jumping and continue on land, I can't at all get the timing at all! , I don't get it, even on simple combos, the game doesn't tell me if I'm too early or late.

I need to smash the button in order to count as part of the combo but that of course will cause problems with the next imput. Fuuuuuuuuuck

This game has me curious..... everything I read talks about how it has a really generous amount of content. I'm enjoying SFV quite a bit although it is the first fighting game I've played serious. I'm wondering if I'll enjoy this as well, videos look overwhelming with heaps of flashy stuff happening on screen.

How is the net code? Does the game let you filter connection to within a region? I'm from Aus and worried I'll get matched with people on the other side of the world. Especially if the initial player base is low.....

So I tweeted PQube and Raven and Kum are included in the release (but have to be unlocked with online currency)

Dizzy will be paid DLC though

Digital, yes.

Physical, no.

Physical = Raven unlockable + Kum with real money

Digital = Raven unlockable + Kum pre-order bonus.

Source: I tweeted PQube as well, last week (seriously)

Btw, this situation is super confusing and I wish they would just follow the American model of free DLC during the launch period physical/digital.

After getting Xrd on the American PSN Store because of the crappy EU version, I took the leap of faith with Revelator because I really don't want to give the impression that Europe hates Guilty Gear, eventually someone needs to understand that this kind of game can also succeed here, but we have always been treated like crap compared to the rest of the world regarding this series.

It goes without saying, it all depends on PQube now. If they fail to keep version parity with the US game this will definitely the last time I buy anything GG related in Europe. Thank Jebus for region-free PS4 :^)

PQube already did a pretty good job with the digital pre-order demo and just a two day difference compared to the US version, so lets hope they keep the ball rolling.

Really?! I'll have to try her out.

Is that just for EU?

I know absolutely nothing about this game. It looks so interesting to me. What separates this game from the other fighting games out there?

Really?! I'll have to try her out.
Her main mid combo move is 623[k]4 release on what feels like a 2 or 3 frame link. Then to juggle with the normal 623k you have to press and let go Instantly to get the dp property or it becomes a different move that has different hit stun and knock back. Plus she's all links

The game has, IMO, the best story mode of any fighting game out there, the character designs are consistently great, and there's a robust training system for new players.

Oh, so just the combos then? The neutral is pretty standard?

Hmm her neutral is very sf like and her projectile let's you control it's left and right movement after throwing it out. She's pretty clunky but she has some huge ass hit boxes to make up for it

I love Kum. I love hard characters and this shit is right up my alley.

LOL @ ever even attempting to play her online, though.

EU PS4 version GET!

No manual. Don't see any Haehyun unlockable with in-game currency in the menu, though there are a few locked items where i can't see what they are. Raven is there at least.

Wait, there's no physical manual inside the box? The US version does... :/

Link.

I just gotta laugh at those responses that either has no more interest in it, or has refused to buy it altogether because of no english dub.

Japanese 3rd party publishers are doing this with their latest games nowadays because the cost wouldn't be worth it, especially within small companies like Arc System Works.

If they're truly fans of Japanese games like this, they wouldn't ditch them/write them off altogether just because, "No English dub, no buy!". Ridiculous.

I meant Kum.

Ah. Yes.

PQube, the EU publisher, has said today Haehyun will be unlockable in game:
https://twitter.com/PQubeGames/status/740490739487002624
https://twitter.com/PQubeGames/status/740491056152776704

I don't see her so far. But then there's no DLC available for EU until friday, when the game launches officially.

Where'd you get your info she's definitely paid DLC?

Wait, there's no physical manual inside the box? The US version does... :/

Yeah, no manual at all ;/
I suppose it's not a full price release, but still ;\

Well I understand the frustration. The previous game had dub and people got used to it also the upcoming Blazblue will also probably have a dub.

so apparently the game has variable difficulty in arcade mode . . . doesn't seem to be a way to turn it off either
Variable how?! I though it's just the normal start off easy and get harder as you progress, with the new twist being that they drop the difficulty option when you lose a match.

Also, lack of English dub is disappointing, I can understand people who skip the game because of it. And the budget excuse is bullshit, SIGN sold way more out side Japane than it did over there, if it's worth it to have a Japanese VA, skipping the English ones make no sense.

I had the same issue as you. Watch these vids:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJz_A8odX2I

It's 2 and half hours long, but it goes into vast detail on why certain moves aren't comboing that'll help you hone in what to improve on.

I'm with you man. It's ridiculous .

I want burst mode back. The side scroller with these renditions of characters would be a joy. Hell the Valentines doing those stages? Perfection.

If you're going to talk about Burst Mode, you're going to implicitly talk about Robo Ky MKII. Imagine THAT with all the new character moves and Xrd mechanics slapped on it.
