Bah. I really cannot decide. On the one hand, I'm a huge fan of Roman history and the graphics look phenomenal. I can see potential. On the other, everyone who's played it says it's crap. I've already canceled and then reordered my preorder. What a conundrum.
Excellent. I know it is hated to hell and back, but I want to play the shit out of this game.

Sadly enough, it always was a kinect game that was turned into a full next gen launch game. But as we can all see, it wasn't properly designed enough to begin with : combat design looks very limited, hidden QTE everywhere, short lifespan... Crytek have really good tech guys and artist, the game does look gorgeous but at third person brawler requiers a lot of carefully crafted animation, blending and procedurals joints. Much harder to do than a fps were you can cheat pretty easily as the player movement are never seen. Here you can't cheat the camera... I wish Ryse was a good Roman epic but maybe that will be for the sequel if they give it more time and a proper pre-production and real game design this time.

It says right there in the article preview. Im assuming the embargo is still up on the game so they cant give a complete review
Don't listen to the internet too much. I'm sure by watching the live stream last week thats its gonna be a solid game. I actually love what i've seen so far and the graphics really show what the One can do.

Not every one whos played it said it was crap. look around and see. If you are feeling the game, pick it up because thats all that matters. look online you will find a few people who said they had a blast with Ryse.

So 6.5 to 8.5 hours. Not too shabby i guess. At least we know the 3 hour campaign is bull now.
That is more than acceptable. Plus there is gladiator mode that I am itching to play.

Multiplayer better be phenomenal a sp focused game should be at least 12 hours long 20 is preferable. Modern game design is disappointing 90% of the time.
The stream was very good. I really wish XBO's Twitch support would be day 1, I would love to be able to check out regular people playing this like I'm doing with PS4 games.

I suspected they were full of it. In the recent stream it took 45 minutes to play through the first chapter of like 8. No way is it a 3 hour game.

Not a click baiting site. But it's a preview copy/event so I guess they rushed through the game most likely in " journo at event " (aka super easy) difficulty and skipped all cinematics.
They also say " nearly half of the game " so it's maybe not 3 hours. Maybe it will end up being 4 to 5 hours (we saw SP games being this short) and not really shock sadly ...

Well, going by seeing 1 chapter taking 45 minutes, a guy who beat it saying it took him 7 hours, plus the devs saying it is around 8 hours weighs pretty heavily in favor of it not being a 3 hour game.
