No. They won't. You can replay them at a later point but you need a xbox live connection to play them.

i like johnson, but he is/was as shallow as palmer is (and dont get me started on that shitty "he is a spartan 1" retcon in one of the books). both are generic one dimensional characters that play on sterotypes. they improved johnson a lot in h2, i expect the same for palmer.

Fighting Covenant was so much more fun than fighting Prometheans. Hopefully they get a re-think for 5.
Yes, the IV's are no way in the same league as the II's and II's. However Palmer is the best out of the bunch so far.

Unfortunately I think my best route to legendary armor is local co-op alone. I have no interest in doing lone wolf Halo 4 legendary with the disappearing ammo issue.
i.e. have the second controller laying on the floor while I go mop everyone up and when I die, I just respawn at the other guy.

what exactly are the specialisations? I'm level 38 and it says I'm doing the Spartan IV one and the other 2 are locked. no indication of how to unlock them.

They unlock when you hit level 50. At that point, you choose one for levels 50-59. At 60 you choose the next one, and so on.
During your 10 level stint on each specialization, you unlock armor, weapon skins and finally a new perk relating to the specialization. There are 8 total specs meaning 130 is the current level cap AFAIK.

The above stuff is fairly tame, but the one dude that was pissed at the Cortana stuff and said "I wonder if there was a pay dispute with Jen Taylor" takes the cake though. It's just such hilariously strange conclusions to jump to.
Well my achievements are certainly fucked. Didn't receive the one for completing mission 3 so now my Heroic progress for that level in the menu is blank. For a game with such high production values, you'd think 343 would've either fixed this shit by now or better yet, not have it happen whatsoever.
And with top 3 no longer counting as a victory, plan on not completing it as well!

I'm shocked that more people don't play Team Slayer Pro. I don't dig normal slayer because radar is such a crutch. TSP only has ~2,000 people online while normal team slayer has ~30,000. Crazy!

Halo 4 enforces (or tries to) everyone getting equal shots at being Flood or Spartan. It's still overall score.
I've yet to have a match where I was Flood all rounds.

What's up with all the Regicide challenges? It's not so much that they are Regicide all the time, but they are pretty hard Regicide challenges. Did anyone at 343 actually play Regicide? :lol 18 regicides in a single match, 9 regicide wins in a single day, what was it 18 regicide wins last week? This is just dumb.

Fiction makes you momentarily suspend your belief in reality. I can play Halo and within that fictional world aliens are believable. I cannot, however, for the life of me believe that man's best warship is commanded by a meathead woman, a delusional cowardly old man, and a 14 year old boy. This makes no sense. Palmer and Del Rio are not believable characters. Nobody in their right mind would put these two in charge of anything.

It really is. I just wish they could come up with better challenges than to win so many regicides or get so many regicides.
Are they not capable of more advanced challenges? Like get so many sticky kills in Regicide or something like that? Not saying that would be fun, but it's at least better than "Complete 4 War Games matches."

So specializations only give you aesthetic unlocks, correct? Or do they offer further perks? Any of you higher leveled guys able to answer this? Can't wait until I hit 50 so I can poke around.

Just cosmetic. The specializations give you other armor perks.
Edit: Hmmm Think I read before an edit. :lol Could have sworn it said commendations.
Completing a specialization gives you a new tactical package or support upgrade. You also get some new armor, emblems, and visor colors.

The light rifle was probably my most used weapon in campaign (due to the abundance of ammo). It's just a reskinned DMR/BR hybrid.
So I've been thinking of other games released this year and Reach on what Halo 4 missed the mark on when it comes to content.
I would have LOVED to see a bigger integration with Halowaypoint like Reach had, and something akin to Tekken Tag Tournament 2 with making clans and leveling them up as well. I wish they'd bring back create a challenge like Reach has for HaloWaypoint, and make it doable in game or on WayPoint. Also, I'd like to see clans in game be a thing and get access to certain emblem unlocks ONLY through leveling your clan, maybe even armor pieces too.

Welcome to 2012. I know it sucks, but at least we've got cool stuff like Hue lights.
No performance issues for me playing 4-person at peak times on a weekday EST. I do believe our Australian mate had some ice-skating issues, however.

Really? Awesome! So glad they did that, gives real incentive to unlock them all. Can't wait to do so! I mean, I was kinda pumped to get crazy armor but perks are REAL incentive!

I've been chipping away at the game during these past few days, last night I finished Chapter 4. I love the way it looks and sounds, and how you still keep getting new/revamped weapons at every single turn. Game's fairly challenging to me as well, and I've died quite a lot in Heroic.

They're still using Megalo, so those gametypes can come back. It's not set in stone.
But acting like you're some abused constituency and "you're waking a hornet's nest" is some over dramatic bullshit. If you honestly feel 343 left you in the cold, trade in the game or demand a refund and stop paying for Live.
Going "Microsoft, you don't love us!" and then continuing to drop money into their bank account is fairly empty.
That's great for you, but every match is worse than the last for me. Especially by the end of missions, I'm stuttering and pausing for seconds at a time, and every action is delayed by at least a second when I'm not. I don't know if I'm being paired with people on 56k or in Europe or what the fuck is going on but it's terrible.
Nah, I've come to decide that I am living in a magical land where despite my NAT changing every other second and my bad wireless reception it is my god-given right to have host every single game or something. I am the Chosen One.
