i disagree. the sticks on playstation's controllers have always been too close, but the symmetry felt more natural when i got used to it and helped to keep the controller balanced. the triggers are too squishy on the DS4, but the sticks feel infinitely more precise than the XBO. Obviously I'm comparing different games with different sensitivities and aim assist, but simple movements don't seem to register on XBO because these joysticks are tiny as hell and seem very easy to overturn. I thought it was an issue with aim acceleration in MCC when i noticed the inaccurate deadzones.
I don't think "holding the controller right" excuses how resisting and poorly countoured the bumpers are. i'm picking it up and holding it like i've been holding controllers all my life. anything else is uncomfortable and makes it more difficult to manage the inaccurate sticks.
And again, it vibrates on top of all of this.
I'm the last person who would defend sony or start some dumb console war, but i've been thoroughly disappointed with the XBO thus far. It's making it hard to enjoy the good moments in these games.
Yup that's what I'm doing and it's awkward as hell. It pushes too much of the controller out of my hand and then my other hand doesn't have a good grip holding the stick because it's unbalanced.
I can probably find a post from last month where I felt the same way playing Halo 2 Classic. The quality and balance of the game is one thing, but I don't feel like i can enjoy it or offer any constructive feedback when I'm struggling so much to input commands into the game.
