Your ownership rights are to your account and your home console, it doesn't matter where you redeem the code. Also he should have access to the beta also if you're game sharing is setup properly.

Did you guys redeem both codes one after the other? The prreview program email said that you had to use one to download the app and the other to "activate" it.

I have Redeem Code 1 and Redeem Code 2 on my messages, I did 1 and it's downloading, should I just redeem 2 now or wait?

You can redeem in the message area on the console, but I can see why this would be cool. Hell, that SHOULD be how it is. What if you're not home, and you wanted to get the download started?
