BTB is amazing. Also Standoff and Headlong aren't really bad looking at all imo. I mean not great but for Forge maps they are fantastic

The Headlong remake is also pretty spot on in terms of layout which is really cool to see. It feels smaller, but that is because of the crazy movement options we have now. Can't wait to see what people can do with forge in terms of aesthetics down the road.

The visuals are jarring . The textures specifically. Why?

Holy shit, I read Gaf earlier expecting ugly but these are really ugly. My guess is thats how they 60fps, no textures really.

I'm also not sure all the DMRs, Snipers and long range BRs are much fun. I think the long range game, especially for CTF is a little much. Lots of spawn killing with snipers.

This plus MCC is going to drive me to get a new hard drive. Can't imagine what Halo 5 will be like when Forge drops in December and all the new maps come. Will easily push 70-80gb+ when all is said and done.

So I just finished my placement matches for BTB, and I’m mixed when it comes to how I feel about it. On one side I love the maps and gameplay. However, the amount of leavers is atrocious, seriously. Out of my ten matches, FIVE were JiP, with really no hope of coming back. Like I don’t care about my rank really (Got Plat 1 though), if I cared I would play with a group. However, it’s not fun being thrown into a match where the other team is essentially just farming for kills. So yeah, love the maps, but not too fond of JiP. But I think that’s enough for tonight.

I think the map has some great pieces, the size of the map means it's easier to see the large blocks of grey and yellow, but playing it is a blast.

The biggest problem of H5 is if you dont have a full team you will get raped. raped as in no more than a .3 W/L or .9 K/D. I literally get on and look at my friend list, then turn my xbox off. Its a joke. Got diamond 2 and im probably top 50 in the world in BTB my team randomly leaves and now I cant play unless I want to get slapped. UGHHHHHHH. Seriously what the fuck.

BR starts are the best.

Not in this case. Most of the BR starts in BTB started because in Halo 3 the magnum and assault rifle were garbage. AR starts were a killer on Valhalla. In H5, the AR is a beast and has range. The pistol has the range of the H3 BR. Pistol starts and maybe one DMR on the map and get rid of all the BRs except for a few. It's not fun to get in a ghost and just get shot off or spawn 2 or 3 times getting killed on spawn.

They maps were made with Forge, hence the graphics. It has nothing to do with 60 fps considering Warzone is pushing much more.

Get a 2-3TB external. They run faster than the internal x1 drive. 👍

Oh, I wouldn't really say I got destroyed. I performed just as well as Ninja and Chig did, and they're pro players. I just can't carry enough to win the game when 3 of my team-mates are underperforming.

If you notice the stats, I won three rounds for the team, and notice how we only won 3 rounds? ;P I can't carry anymore.

Just had an awesome btb ctf match on that map with the grass. Reminds me of valhalla a bit but this is what i was itching for. 8v8 vehicular combat!

Down 2-1, 3 min left and i snatch the flag and hop all the way home only to find out our flag was gone and we couldnt tie it up. The clock goes all the way down to a 1 min and we finally get the cap to tie it up 2-2 with 1 min left. I dash out to the mongoose and smash off dodging enemy fire, swirving like a snake, shields low and we grab the flag and i show up to escort on time for the final cap to win!! The feels, ohh the feels!


Then..... The match data never synchronized after so it didnt register . I wanted that replay damnit. Oh well, so much fun
