Are you new to Halo? If so, you've figured out how shields have worked since the beginning. Once it clicks, the game changes. Congrats on your findings!
Plasma Weapons will pop the shield faster, and almost instantly with a charged Plasma Pistol. Once you pop, uou can then switch to a precision weapon like a Pistol, BR, Commando, or any other semi-auto weapon and pop them once in the head and they should go down.
I've noticed that in Phase 2, the shield lights up where you've done damage to the other player. 3 shots to the body and 1 shot to the head will sometimes drop a player depending on the weapon.
Ah, yeah, that's a new feedback feature. I love it. But good for you for picking up on that. I think that not understanding how the shields work is the thing that really turn people away. With all the feedback they provide now, hopefully it clicks for others.Yeah I played a decent amount of Halo 5 but what threw me for a loop was the little panels lighting up in phase 1. I don't recall that from Halo 5 so I was determined to figure out what it meant.
Did they remove the bar sticking out of people after killing them with it? It was more amusing in flight 1 that a corpse had a giant rebar sticking through them. The Skewer is so satisfying. I can't wait for the new map tomorrow.
In the end, what has been said about the Slipspace Engine, its scalability, and the Velocity architecture was all true, it was just a metter of Devs spending more time on it, and starting to take advantage of it, and we are still in the first year of the Life cycle. And yes, the textures work is fantastic, I'm really eager to see the final result of the Single Player Campaign. Oh yeah !Holy shit at that texture work
Funny that it has a classic "BXB" melee cancel glitch at the moment from halo 2
Yeah became aware of that today, makes the game even better
BXR, BXB, RRX/YY/RRX
Can you guys explain more, what is a melee cancel?
Thanks. I'm testing it now and just mashing (in the correct order) melee -- reload -- melee...but it doesn't appear to be working. Do you have to get the timing right? I assume just pressing them rapidly isn't enough?Well, in Halo 2, the moment your melee would register you could press X (reload) to cancel out the remaining animation frames and follow up with another melee instantly. Like a Street Fighter 2 combo

I'm sure it's a different button it's something I'd like to know as well
Perhaps wait until whatever you do registers as a hit first before cancelling I dunno
In the end it adds some complexity to the gameplay which I like
Holy fuck, when you mash the buttons quickly it goes so fast it's almost comical, like a sped up kung fu movie.
Try it: shoot just one bullet from your gun, then mash melee + reload + melee + reload repeatedly. Sweet jesus
Don't forget about those headshots tho; it's all about lining up your shots where you think they're going to be.
This game is no longer about shooting for me. It's now a space kung fu game.
The ones were you keep dying?Hopefully they remove the glitches for the final release.
Thank god for the test yeah.Hopefully they remove the glitches for the final release.
Yeah - unclear if it usable in training. Want to try out those vehicles in peaceWe getting the new map tonight?
Think it is. The demonstration the other night had the guy using it in training.Yeah - unclear if it usable in training. Want to try out those vehicles in peace
I wasn't holding out much hope of 343 using anything apart from Tier 2 VRS on a cross gen game, hopefully I was wrong.

Check how smart the bots are, and these are low level bots. The gun gets stuck with a sticky, and the bot immediately tosses the weapon...
Yup. Behemoth is meant to be a scaled down valhalla meets sandtrap. So big enough for vehicles but small enough for 4v4A 4v4 map with vehicles?
Definitely was buffed since last tech preview. I went from barely being able to get a kill with it to never needing to look for another weapon.-I think the AR can be toned down a bit. Since these maps are so cramped, its usually the only weapon you need in this state.
This is why we got 4k tv boys, massive Halo CE type of attention of detail.Halo Infinite looks so good on PC.
Some of the texture-work is just *chef kiss*
If you sign up now on Halo insider, you still have a chance to make the 2nd weekend roll out IIRC.So uh, anyway to get access to the preview or am I screwed?
Gameplay looks good and I am itching for a fun FPS.
Sadly in my use, I did not find anything sticking like that. I want that back, as well if it's gone.Did they remove the bar sticking out of people after killing them with it? It was more amusing in flight 1 that a corpse had a giant rebar sticking through them.

Nah it is perfect for CTF. Maybe too big for slayer but I've only played CTF on it. I actually really enjoyed CTF on this compared the Bazaar. The openness and vehicles make a huge difference.Vehicle map is way too big for 4 v 4. Honestly retarded decision. Had a match that went 17 - 31 with time running out
I think it was just good timing of swapping weapons but a hilarious clip

That might be a little OP to be honest. Sure they are still balancing though.
