Probably goes without saying in this thread, but if you want to avoid spoilers for Halo 4, right now would be a good time to start avoiding forums and clicking on random internet links.

Youtube comments disabled! Hopefully, NeoGAF is a safe zone.
FuD episode 2 ending spoiler: Why does Lasky fall at the end? Because "Sir Bitchy commander that only yells at fucking Lasky and the ginger" took his fucking food. Even I saw that shit coming from a mile away.
Haha no, people make suicide accounts months in advance just for this. Only way to be safe is to avoid reading the last page.Youtube comments disabled! Hopefully, NeoGAF is a safe zone.

I don't get how yelling at people can make them 'hardened' if people yell at me I either block them out or snap.
Well being nice to someone isn't going to turn them into a hardened killing machine that Marines have to be. Drill Sergeants are there to break you down mentally and then build you back up as a solider/teammate.
I think in actual drill, from what I've heard, the worst of the yelling/etc is the beginning. Once they've gotten you broken down they are nicer and more helpful.
On that note, back in the march up to Reach and Halo 3 days, we had a spoiler thread warning image I parked in the OP's when the leaks hit. Not sure if anyone wants to whip something up this time around.
I vividly remember the asshole yelling outat the midnight launch for Halo 3.Sergeant Johnson dies
I still hate that guy.
Who knows though, maybe there isn't one thing you can hang your hat on for Halo 4 in terms of spoiling. Like a one liner "".Snape kills Dumbledore
Maybe it's more of a sum of its parts type thing.
343 could always hook us up with an early copy, that way we don't get spoiled.![]()
The military literally tries to break you, all your habits, assumptions, attitudes, break them completely, and start afresh with what they consider a fresh template. That's the entire point of bootcamp. It's worked for 10,000 years and they have it down to a fine art. Well, until now when you can join the military and be fat and have gang tattoos and run a methlab. But it used to work.
Lol, I'd loved to have had you as a private.
That's why I don't wait around anymore. I go at 10 PM to pay off my pre-order then go home and return at 12:05 PM.I vividly remember the asshole yelling out Sergeant Johnson dies at the midnight launch for Halo 3.

if anyone purposely leaks any campaign spoilers on here, I will personally get you permabanned.
ironically, does anyone have footage of the last mp map they want to share?
Shogun, you're military? You seem pretty relaxed for an officer or whatever you are.
A drill sergeant would not last 30 seconds up against you with that attitude.

Yep. The flood isn't bad though; it does add some interesting things to the story.
Fixed
If you're just BSing, it's not working.
If you're serious, you're an idiot. I haven't actually served like Shogun, but I have been yelled at by drill sergeants and I can assure you that they don't dick around.
Yeah I smiled reading those comments earlier about how "yelling by drill sergeants does nothing to make you harder" and how it was mean that the female drill sergeant took their food, etc.. If all you got was yelled at and missed a meal, that was a good fucking day. Especially boot camp. You have no rights. You're not treated as a human. By design. As Frankie said, you are broken the fuck down. They build you up into the soldier they want you to be, but you will never get there without that process. You were lucky if they didn't put your hands on you.Yeah, I'd never last in the military. Not my style. I did enjoy being able to take Marksmanship in high school without becoming a pickle, though. They were jellis when we walked through their class with our rifles and no uniforms on
We also have to keep convincing my stepdad to actually use his veteran status and go to the damn VA.
Least Id be left with my dignity while cleaning the latrines. And it's be good for a laugh. You would not last 30 seconds up against a drill sergeant with that attitude.

Fighting with classmates or combat trained military officers?
Fighting with classmates or combat trained military officers?Naa man, I just love fighting.
I have no problem with the personal ordnance drops, it is the global ordnance system what is more random and is questionable.Has there been anyone who's played the game that actually likes the random personal ordnance drops?

Or the random global ordnance drops for that matter.
343
"It's dynamic!"
edit: Oh, you said personal ordnance drops. They're lame but only in one gametype (as far as we know).
Hopefully you'll like it. Turns out a bunch happens between H1 and H2.Excellent, will order First Strike tonight.
I can imagine a 49-48 game where I'm winning
10 seconds for it to end
Rocket Launcher randomly drops next to an enemy
Double Kill
49-50
I did nothing wrong except not having the luck of standing next to that drop
Lol at frankie cameo.
Also, I chuckled at the start. That "your shirt's on backwards asshole" is actually something I said during basic training to another guy during one of those early morning wake ups (which no doubt happens to other people too).
It's shit like that that makes me think they did some research even for this little movie, or they got "lucky" with it. Good episode.
Edit: Happy birthday Frankie!

Kind of wonder if 343 will go back to the old method of placing weapons on map if people really don't like the random drops.
