The London Philharmonic Orchestra has again blown its trumpet at music from some of the biggest games ever.

Their album, called The Greatest Video Game Music 2, launches on 6th November and includes 17 orchestrations. It's the sequel to the best-selling video game album of all time, 2011's appropriately name The Greatest Video Game Music, which shifted nearly 100,000 copies.

Sally Huang from 343 Industries was at Armageddon today. I talked to her a bit about Halo 4.

She is amazing. Incredible woman! She did a lot of stuff for the campaign and amazing to talk to.

I really don't think there's an ARG for the Didact stuff, though. I think it's just a way of grabbing some people who are curious but don't know what the hubbub is into Halo.

Just listening to the Halo 4 OST - I know this is blasphemy for most of you, but I vastly prefer this to Marty's work. Marty's stuff was always very...video-gamey I guess. This just feels more mature and deeper somehow. Plus there no AWFUL Rock-Cheese to contend with.

The thing about it is that it is very different from what Marthy gave us, so I can’t really say what who is better. Both sounds are tremendous and have their own unique voice, which actually makes me very happy. Neil has put his stamp on it.
