i ordered the german limited (for only 70€ its a steal) and the uk version.

it just fucking sucks that there is ZERO material from the german dubbing. it must be extremly bad since they try to hide it. i even contacted the german audio studio (which is responsible for the dubbing) and asked which voice actors they used for chief/cortana. the response: they are not allowed to talk about anything since ms/343 dont allow it.

I don't want my bonus booklets in german (I have the reach booklet in german and it sucks), so I ordered the UK LE.
I don't want my first experience with the game (or any experience, for the record)* to be with the german dub, so I wouldn't even take a german Halo 4 copy for free.

* Played Halo 1-ODST in german, Reach in german and english, and Anniversary in english. NEVER GOING BACK. It's like Halo became 10% better just because of competent voice actors.

You've been able to do this in every Halo ever (and many other games too) and it's never hurt anything. You don't need theater to screw up your intended view of the game world. Hell, Halo 2 encouraged this with stuff like the Scarab gun.

You think it's more of a philosophical/vanity thing: Bungie didn't mind players seeing the ugliest parts of their games, but 343 does? Possibly. Hoping it's a technical reason, like maybe it fell apart somehow and they didn't have time to fix it. At least then there's hope it'll return.

So I have a question, maybe someone can help me out. I'm going to get the season map pass thing, but not right at launch. Does anyone actually know for sure how long that will be available with all of the included bonuses (helmets, etc.)? Also, will it just be an item on the marketplace, as in pay 2000 MSP and download it? I ask this because I plan on just accumulating 2000 MSP through bing rewards.

Meh, we don't even know what the movie will be about, it could cover some entirely different part of the Star Wars timeline, so it's not necessarily a spoiler for the movie.

I rather liked the prequels. In the same way that some people liked Reach: you can't explain why, and the people who hate it have all the logic on their side, but at the end of the day you think it's pretty good.

Although I do want to build excitement, I think I pointed out a few things which should keep expectations in check. The fact that the covenant are the enemies half the time. The Promethean enemy variety. The deference to the new music. Some restraint by 343 in some scope to the story due to it being a start of a trilogy. These are not necessarily "bad" things, but they are points which you should keep in mind so that you're expectations don't go out of control.
