Co-op.. I guess I was close to the rock (which my co-op buddy spawned inside the rock) then I died and spawned in the rock..
So we were stuck... restarted the mission..
edit: amusing and annoying at the same time.. hah

Yeah, that sucks. Probably a collision bug on that rock which is causing the co-op spawn logic to think it's safe to place you inside the rock. Almost certainly the same thing that Cyren mentioned in 1-4.

If you haven't heard yet, on Galileo there is a glitch which spawns miniature Covenant. It's funny, but they are effing hard to shoot lol.

Okay, if you're gonna make Team Snipers on all BTB maps, make it 4v4 and turn radar off.
If you're not, add smaller maps. I'd rather snipe in CQC than spend a whole minute battling one player on a large scale map because he can hide behind everything.
Add Beam Rifles to the map, because why not?
Make the loadouts with a grenade and a pistol, combat tends to be dull and with flinch it's just a monstrosity at times.
Flinch works in Call of Duty because the kill times are fractions of a second.
Flinch doesn't work in Halo because I'm unable to out shoot my opponent because my aim is rendered useless just because he's able to get shots on me.

I was talking to Barlow earlier, I think flinch is a cool mechanic and good way to balance.

Balance as in I'll lose to a lesser skilled player 4/10 times instead of 3/10 times, yeah.
Balance as in this fixes issues with weapon strength, I think that's yet to be seen.
I'm not frustrated with flinch in the latter scenario either as much as I am in previous. I don't like losing battles I feel I could have won because a game mechanic temporarily rendered my aiming useless.
Yes. I've mentioned before that Halo 4 creates problems for everyone through some design choices, then offers to mitigate them via perks. It's incredibly bad form. I think Flinch is the worst offender, followed up by giving everyone an EMP on spawn with the PP.
But yea. Flinch. Disappointing, 343.

I have a feeling it's going to get progressively more frustrating as more people unlock that mod that reduces it as well.
You'll start losing battles because the other player had an advantage in reducing a mechanic that handicaps you more than him. It's scary.

Ehhhh I may have spoken too soon, I meant more in a way that I'm glad they added SOMETHING to counteract the 'no-unscoping-after-being-shot' mechanic.
I had only problems on Vortex with hiding and everything. But yes some smaller maps would be great for snipers (no not abandon.. the spawns are awful there)

Someone explain this to me. You'd rather be zoomed completely out and more or less dead in the water than have your reticle move a slight bit when being shot at? With flinch at least you can recover and finish the job.
Maybe it's just me, but I have much better luck finishing someone far away off with flinch than being completely scoped out and they get away.

The Beam Rifles would promote map movement on bigger maps because they are slightly easier to handle, giving players a reason to move and pick them up.
Radar slows down the pace of play because you can camp and read radar, especially on bigger maps. Players feel like they can move more freely when radar is disabled.
Pistols and grenades also promote movement and decrease camping, as you can grenade players out of their position.
I'm actually more indifferent to the scoping/flinching than I thought I was going to be. I however do not like how sniping just keeps getting easier and easier. It's so difficult to challenge a sniper now and it kind of cheapens up the weapon, sadly. Coupled with just how easy it is to no scope still, getting kills with Sniper isn't as satisfying as it used to be.
Sorry totally misread it, thought you was implying we could choose between beam rifles and sniper rifles as loudouts, yes I agree as weapons on the map it would be great.
I know what you want with no radar, but looking back at Reach people still played the same in Snipers on bigger maps without radar, for example on Hemorrhage, but maybe on some maps it would be better without it, yes.
And I just don't want other weapons than snipers in team snipers
