Is it on xbox? And how similar is the gameplay to Human revolution?

It's on PC. There's also a PS2 version, but it's not as good. There's no third person cover mechanics or anything like that, and there are no one button auto-win takedowns; you have melee weapons that you can sneak up to people and knock out/kill that way if you want to go that route. There are more meaningful decisions placed on augs, as they're mutually exclusive for each slot (eg. if you choose the upgraded melee strength aug, it locks out the ability to pick up heavier objects aug). You also have a skill system that works on top of that for things like swimming (oh yeah, swimming's in this game too), hacking, weapon proficiencies, health pack proficiencies (no health regen outside of an aug you can get later in the game) and stuff like that. Unlike HR the entire world isn't locked off by hacking alone, it's only one element. There's lockpicking and multitooling as well, even brute force breaking doors.

Oh, and there's only one forced boss fight in the game, and you can get past it with a dialogue option too.

It also has some good music.

Sound effects are pretty incredible though.

Mostly, they've been great. Thanks to the campaign and Spartan Ops, I've come to loathe the sound of the new Fuel Rod Cannon. Sounds like a metal pole being hit by a softball bat, with the original sound kinda-sorta in the background.

Although I'm tired of the "wait until Christmas" response from so many of the white knights it will be interesting to see what happens to 4 once the holidays have come and gone.

A) Halo 4 takes a bump (partially due to being 39.99 now)
B) Halo 4 takes a dive (everyone gets new/other games and moves on)
C) No one cares and Halo continues to bleed a few hundred/thousand players a week

At this point I'm just affraid 343 thinks they are doing everything right and will not look at the humongous flaws this game has launched with. Can't discredit them for Graphics/Sound though.

I guarantee they do not feel that way.
There is nobody more critical of a game than the developers that made it.
They only see the flaws.

Plus, if you want to look at it from a more logical perspective, just look at the Xbox Live activity.
They made lots of changes to the game to promote accessibility and longevity.
They wanted to modernize the franchise and open it to more audiences.
They added in progression, specializations, and Spartan Ops to keep people playing.
However, a month after H4 release they are pulling numbers that Reach had 2 years after launch.

They know their game isn't near perfection.

That might convince me to get a 3DS... I wish they would just remake WW, OOT, and MM in 1080p with a cel shaded art style and release it as a trilogy pack on the WiiU. Still, ALTTP is the best Zelda.

Yeah, supposedly to make things a bit more SS2-like, but I don't know how they'd do that without implementing a few things exclusive to that mode. Should be interesting, would love for it to deliver on the promise.

Well yea we don't exactly know why that drop off occurred. No one does. You can't go to those that stopped playing and say, "Hi! Why did you stop playing Halo 4?" I'm sure a lot of people just moved on. Probably happens with every game.

You know iv never got this. CE:A looked great the art style was really good in my opinion and I had no quarms with the soundtrack.

I kind of understand what people mean when they say it looks different but I'd never say worse just different.

CE has faults and for w.e reason people are less quick to jump on It because of them.

Me too. Shadowrun was a better game multiplayer FPS than Reach and Halo 4. Halo is supposed to be an arena shooter not a unbalanced perk centered disorganized mess.

Yeah game looks great but is limited by Nintendo's inability to make good hardware. That is what I was referring too. I love Nintendo as a developer and I wish they were just that...a 3rd party developer. I have yet to actually play SS because of the motion controls.

A lot of it is personal preference however

I never finished CEA. So that noted, I did think a lot of the art was a turn for the worse. Two examples are the way dark areas (such as the light bridge area of the second mission) were brightened up to the point where you could see the whole space clearly, no flashlight needed. Totally robbed the scene of the atmosphere it held. And a lot of detailed ornamental texture work (most notably on Silent Cartographer) was replaced with simple repeating hexagons.

Later things like the removal of fog on 343 Guilty Spark hurt the rich atmosphere Bungie created as well.

Now as you said this stuff is very subjective. A lot of people liked those changes. But they are ones that for me at least were a big step back. I played many sections with the original graphics instead, which to be fair is a great feature.
