I openly celebrate the failure of Halo 4 for two reasons:

1. Proves I was always right, reinforces that as a gamer, I understand what I'm talking about

2. Gives hope Halo will be changed in the future and we might finally get a real Halo again.

I really hope H5 is a godsend. 343 PM me if you need suggestions I have a huge essay for the next game.

Yeah I guess but the thing is Halo 4 can still be a good Halo. If bad judgement made H4 bad then how would the same people make a good one? The core mechanics are top notch, all they need is a classic playlist and ranks.

people who think cod is easy because you can kill people in less shots than it takes to kill someone in halo are clueless

with that logic I guess railgun matches in Q3A are even easier than COD since you can get kills in 1 hit, move faster, and you have more precise controls with a mouse and keyboard

Gotta agree with this. Its not easier, its a different skillset. Very positional, as most encounters are over in a blink of an eye. Competitive search and destroy is one hell of a gametype.

Still too dependent upon connection quality and twitch for me, but its no surprise that the series is as popular as it is.

The core isnt that great...and it all depends on what constitutes core, and I'm sure that differs between everyone.

Unfortunately you'll probably never get to play the "core" at the level you want to, because the options are just not there, and I highly doubt seeing them ever get patched in. Some of them perhaps, yes theyll get added, but not enough, and not soon enough.

I am not sure how 343 decided what is going to be for Halo 4 but do you remember the story BS Angle told us in a bulletin pre release. It was about a secret map witch we now know as Abandon. She was talking about how some dude got pissed and raged quit because they were all camping atop ring 1 and 2 and getting ordnance drops and what not. They talked about how funny it was that the other team could not do shit but get owned. Did it ever occur to them that maybe the guy raged quit due to the map and the game being a broken piece of shit? What kind of thought process do they have? If we are using cheap tactics in a unbalanced game to win its all good as long as we are on the winning side? Even if I am having fun donging on people I can still understand that the game broken.

Yeah, they were terrible. You can't see it from Karl's perspective, but the rest of us spent a good three minutes just hopping around in the bottom middle, letting the other tream try to shoot us. I say try, cause they weren't very succesful.
