Okay, this just hit me:
An idea on how to fix jetpack. Instead of giving people limited flight, why not make the height that you get from the jetpack similar to that of a normal jump? Imo, it wouldn't break maps nearly as much and would balance it out a LOT more.

Dodgeball? Is that the one where the two teams throw sticky grenades at each other from two different platforms? It probably wouldn't work as well with all the magnetism stickies seem to have these days anyway...

San Andreas has more stream viewers than Halo 4.
You could make the arena much, much larger. In Halo 3, it was tiny. Maybe give people TP to add another layer. And about the magnetism- I think the ones in Reach were a lot worse. I'll chuck a nade at a dude and watch it whiz by, but that's just me

haha and I dunno. It seems like I'm constantly getting stickies in Halo 4, where as in Halo Reach and 3 I'd get very few. In Halo 2 I'd be lucky to get one every few games.

The reason this happens is simple. You can spend a few hours carefully constructing a long and well thought out post filled with insight and constructive criticism and it will almost instantly be tossed aside and forgotten on a previous page. Sarcasm and meme/gif/insults seem to actually garner discussion (even in a limited sophomoric way).

The bad thing they were a common enemy in Halo 4 replacing of the blue ones, something simmilar happened in Gears of wars 3 when the Palace Guard Theron were a common enemy instead of being special units like they were in Gears 2.
Seeing that picture, I'm gonna come out and say Halo 4 is my favorite Halo art wise.
The Covenant look alien and hostile. The UNSC stuff looks militaristic and minimalist. The Forerunner things look elegant and smooth.
I'm also glad the UNSC weapons actually looks like weapons from the future. The Halo 4 BR is my favorite one artistically, it just sounds like utter crap.

It's just the way it is. People join HaloGAF and try to start discussion or have a real, honest, conversation about the game/universe/etc. When that attempt is met with sacaram GIFs and the general flow of "this game sucks, stop trying to save it" they either leave the thread completely (or take a break) or they join in.
It's not a good thing, but from the beginning you know the end.

Seriously? Game is the blandest in the entire series, IMO.
Almost every UNSC redesign in the game I have a problem with. If there's one thing that I love however, it's the design of the Spartan Laser (which didn't really change from Reach). The whole thing screams 'futuristic' to me. Hell, if I had my way, I'd design the entire UNSC sandbox to match up aesthetically with the Splaser. And the BR looks outdated and dull to me (isn't it based on a real weapon?).
I don't like the changes to the Covenant either. That one Elite design looks cool, but the rest look like wild animals. And Forerunner things are too complicated for my liking. There's far too much going on with some of them.

For the Elites I like more the Halo Reach style, they lookg big, menacing and easily recognizable to know which strategy you will use against them.
If only the game told you how they lost most of their tech.

I've called 343 a bunch of monkeys working on this game on multiple occasions. Pretty fucking douchey on my behalf. Shit, the vast majority of my posts have been fucking terrible. It's hard not to be a filterless asshole on the Internet but you have to try. Scrap that, just do it.
Maybe let Dax make the next OT? That would set the tone of the entire thread. IDK though, just a thought.

The problem with most of the new people that try to engage in or incite an discussion usually fall victim to the mentality of HaloGAF vs me. That already sets a precedence, it sounds like the person will never respect or even acknowledge the other voices in the thread. I think that rubs regulars the wrong way and that is why new people sometimes are ridiculed to some extent. The person kind of forfeits that people will take him or her seriously.
HaloGAF has its rhythm. We bitch, moan, discuss, argue like clockwork about everything and anything. If you want to have your opinion heard, stop blaming and attacking the community and actually engage. People will know when its a quality post. If nothing happens, well at least you tried something.

Yeah, you could say that about some regulars too. I just feel that entry to barrier would much more easier for everybody if we stopped attacking the community as a hivemind. Everybody still has their opinions, some strong of course, but its much better than people doing the whole Im taking a break from HaloGAF thing.
