Lol Dude, rule #1 don't believe everything Wahrer says, that guy is like 24/7 high.
And I know, I wanted you to see the pictures.
Well I saw that more of a "left herself behind" and the plot of Halo 3 more of a "we need her because she has the index and important information about everything"- but I probably just tried to hide the fact for myself how Halo 3 was also just a "save the princess" plot.

I love Jen Taylor's performance throughout the series and Cortana is such an integral part of my Halo Campaign experience.
But that's one thing I never agreed with Bungie on. Their Cortana looked like one of those hand-made pygmy dolls you'd find at a yard sale.
Even with the technical limitations back then, she has always been a naked blue chick. Kudos to 343 for making her look like one for a change. Halo's been polluted with the likes of Dare and Kat for too long.

What if Cortana still thinks Chief's just a by-the-book killing machine as of the events of Halo CE? It'd explain some of the quips like "This isn't a cudgel, you barbarian," not to mention the fact that she doesn't really act as confident towards Chief himself until she's uploaded to Alpha Halo.
She designed her avatar as either sexually appealing or motherly in a desperate attempt to ensure that Chief didn't view her as disposable.
Well now remembering the short story "Human Weakness" this joke isn't that far fetched and I will probably never can read it without thinking of this.
Some passages fit nicely with the joke.
I like to pretend the Cortana scenes and the level "Cortana" didn't happen in Halo 3.

The game does too considering how annoying it is when you're trying to find her and all you get is some weird vibration, your character stuck and her yelling at you. God what a terrible experience, who the fuck thought that part up.
i dunno i felt like those moments made me really emotionally attached to the game because they were really fucking annoying and made me want to gash someones eyes out every single fucking time they popped up
