So, In certain gametypes 8 kills in a row gives you the option to spawn a power weapon (select weapons per map) and 2 other options, things like speed boost or overshield.

Again its only in the new variation of certain gametypes old slayer is still a thing.

Infinity Slayer nets out points based on assists, kills etc. More difficult feats net out more points (head shots, double kill..). These points go into a small icon and once it fills up you are given a choice of 3 map specific items, usually 2 weapons and a powerup which you use the d-pad to choose. It zaps down close by and you grab it. Rinse, repeat, only it takes more points after each drop. This is separate from the map based weapons that spawn in "randomly".

Speaking of, I need to find out soon if 343 are planning an NYC launch party for the game. I'm looking at my schedule and thinking of taking the week off to go to the party if there is one. Anyone else wanna start making long term plans to start saving and all meet up there for it? I think that would be super rad to have a huge GAF contingent up there.

I like this idea...it seems highly dependent on what sort of 343 event may or may not be happening at that time.
