i have the greatest
idea ever. make dual SMG's a secondary weapon. just smg's. also any time you pick up smg's they will come in pairs, just like that halo 2 E3 demo where he grabs both smg's from the marine. i just want that badass look of holding two smg's, why need any others. (id also like the ODST smg as a primary weapon. )

Goes without saying rape is a horrible thing. It's terrible to joke about it.
However, I've still always used it in the manner its used in gaming today.
"We're gonna get raped"
Wape isn't the cleanest "joke" if you even want to call it that, but personally, I have no problem with it. We played with a guy that kept saying he was going to rape my grandma... I thought it was funny. Maybe I have a tough skin. Maybe I'm just a terrible insensitive person.
It's a fine line with these type of things and everyone draws it differently.
So here you go. Official version.

That is one of the problems with gaming culture today, not a reason to continue to perpetuate said problem. Use of the term is objectionable in every instance it is used in that context, regardless of how often it is used.
I suggest swapping in wreaked/destroyed/demolished, or perhaps "These fellows are going to beat us by a whole bunch," instead.

It's not a matter of having a tough skin, it's a matter of most people that think that way just don't get that rape isn't just a thing that happens on TV. I'm not calling you out specifically, Tawpgun, because I don't know you or your life. I'm just saying in general, that's the way people think. They don't realize that it's a pretty bad thing that happens to real people. I mean, I'm sure they get that, but they don't always associate it with that, you know?
I understand that it's a part of the gaming culture, and it has been for a while. I know, I'm a part of this community to, I've said my share of stupid things in the past. But the culture needs to start making a change.
You rank up to the max rank and from there you can rank up in a certain specialization (Sniper, Assault (?) etc.) and that way you can unlock stuff (emblems, armor pieces, perks etc.) specific to that specialization. Correct?
Some imagery wouldn't hurt. A vidoc of some kind.

From the brief explanation and comic con they said it was a RPG approach to a competitive FPS.
Each specialization complements a certain play style.
Vehicle drivers have one, run and gun players have one, snipers have one, etc.
After you reach the top rank, you re-enlist into a new Specialization.
You pick one and your level is reset.
As you rank up you unlock specialized armor mods that relate to that specialization.
You also unlock exclusive armor, skins, and emblems through ranking up different specializations.

But then are the LE purchasers the only ones who can go through that, at least for a while? I'll have a listen of the Sparkast, because I was following Comic-Con and didn't see anything of the sort on the LE's bonus ranks/specialisations early.
Basically prestiging, but with an actual reason to do it.
