Did I miss any of the playlist details? I know its 4 v 4 slayer, but is it all community maps? What's the rating on DMR's? The steak is gonna be a bit harder with AR starts.

Holy binoli. I started lurking HaloGAF around the beta last year. I signed up on Bungie Day '10. My account was approved yesterday and I was stoked. I did a dumb thing and edited my email, which put me back in the approval queue! So I signed up again with the original email and was approved today and the first account deleted. Go figure. I don't understand it but I accept it.

AR or BR?
DMR, though I prefer the Needle Rifle. In Halo 3, I AR'd it up till about halfway though then figured out it was all about precision play with the BR and vowed to change my play style for Reach. Now my top kills are DMR, NR, and pistol. I hated the BR, but embraced it.

Favorite multiplayer map from Halo 2 and 3 (one of each).
H2 - Sanctuary
H3 - Highground
Reach - Powerhouse (love maps with Grenade Launcher), Asylum (despite its Forge weaknesses and sniper timer), DLC = Tempest

Do you prefer BTB or MLG?
BTB, the 2 times I tried MLG I quit out :/

No, but I can't believe he was banned multiple times and got a 2nd account all while waiting for my initial approval. Lakey M's introductory posts about Firefight were priceless though.

I think it could use some tweaks, but overall I like it.

Opinion on Armor Abilities and the one you favor.
I so love having sprint, but really hate the rest. I swear every round I play these days turns into god damned BumbleBee Slayer. They were a neat idea, but at this point I want them gone (save for Sprint). I have friends though that played way more Reach due to being able to Jet Pack, so I don't know that the answer is to just yank them.

Why are you a Halo fan?
I love the stories that are told and the dynamic encounters of both campaign and multiplayer. The fact that Halo isn't about who-saw-who first is another thing that keeps me coming back. The ability to react to situations and still come out on top regardless of who shot first is a rare thing in shooters it seems. Sharing the experiences with friends and others whether together, over Live, and through videos and screenshots really tops it off.

I was lurking when Juices got back off a ban around a year ago. I remember thinking "oh no, one of these guys". He is actually one of my favorite Halogaffers now though. I think my views align with his quite a bit, and I enjoy his humor. He seemed aggressive with how he laid down his views, but I think he's lightened up. He puts out his opinions, then gets back to the game instead of just excessively whining like many here do.

I also appreciate input from Ghaleon, Dani, the TJs, nscuDuncan, Hitmonchan, and many others including Dax ;).

My least favorite was/is AlienShogun. Man that guy...

26/m/UT. I am married (no kids, thank god) and make web sites for a living. I'd love to transition into building games and work somewhere like Bungie, 343i or Valve. I've been dying to get in here and discuss teh Haloz with cool people and hopefully play with some of you. I'd consider myself high-average at the game, heh. I made Gold this season, but only barely hanging on to it.

I am sad for Bungie's Halo departure, but I am looking forward to what 343 can do. In the TU I am hoping for AL removal or fix, spawn fixes, timer fixes, and inertia fix. I am OK and like most of Reach, but really sucks that I can't strafe. (Yes some of those could be fixed in a playlist update)

I played a game of Rocket Hog (lawlz) once with Nutter, Thermite or Trasher, and Domino. I also matched up with HiredN00bs a couple weeks ago in the BTB Allstars list in a game of 1 flag on Hemorrhage….it sucked.

So is Anchor 9.

Its all about that "matchmaking algorithm" that matches you up with people that have the DLC you do (it doesn't work).

DLC maps are in all the playlists in this game, and their not DLC required.

Because it's optional? Just like in all the other playlists. If everyone in the game has it, it'll show up, if they don't, it won't.

Simply playing against Bungie is going to be the really hard part. The fact that you then have to steak them to get a steak was a good move on theyre part. I really doubt they will be handing out more than 50 steaks tomorrow.

That said I might be wrong if they REALLY suck :p

And no, I wouldn't rather play FW every game. Main reason I stay out of Team Slayer, I play TO for almost half of my games, so I get a lot of Powerhouse, Zealot, Swordbase, Countdown, and Asylum (FW lolz). I'm fine with those really, better than the DLC maps, IMO. I really don't like Low G areas, and I think Tempest is a pretty terrible map all around, sooooo....

On the topic of dlc and playlists, does anyone think 343i should start making more playlists DLC required much like Halo 3 did?

I'm hoping for the Noble pack to be made free and pretty much required to download to play Reach online sometime this year while the Defiant maps always being a paid DLC pack.
