Was trying to make some avatars out of that concept art, but I think I am going to hang on to my current one. Here they are if anyone wants them though:

Same as the one above obviously, but I messed around with the saturation and I thought it kinda looked cool with a bit more color.

:lol And that's comparing a final game with an alpha version. Halo 3's alpha was missing tons of stuff like yummy decorators had some Halo 2 and placeholder assets (see first person screenshots with Halo 2 Hands) :p

I wish the Trailer on Bnet would've came with a nice description of each mode. Weekly Update maybe?

its the transition from jumping position straight into that, looks horrible, always has. and since the victim is dead, as in the above gif, no biker/skater/snowboarder would flail his/her arms around like that :p

I dont think this was a decapetation, his neck gets super stretched out as his head may be coming off... Spartans heads also stay in place during the other head hunter scenes... Would be interesting though.

Yeah, I think he was just joking about it. Halo is known for its crazy body deforming/stretching physics. :lol

Oh man, just saw HD feed. Looks so freaking amazing - really loving how crisp the armor colors look now, too. And the fluidity of everything? My god. Sooo good.

May 3rd cannot come soon enough.

This is Alpha not Beta.

Not saying it'll drastically increase but there was definitely a noticeable difference in the early alpha footage of Halo 3 and then Halo 3's final game.

This will make me start playing my Xbox 360 again. Can I still purchase ODST and be eligible for the Reach beta? I hated Halo 3 but was a huge fan of Halo 2.

A lot of details changed, but it was 95%+ the same. Alpha build was another matter, which is what this is.

Sure can. All you need is the ODST disc and you are in.

I think I'm going to stop going into that other halo thread. They're giving me bad thoughts about weapons loadouts. It would be real bad to have a 4v4 TDM with 8 players running around with snipers (unless it was in the team snipers playlist).

Hey, nice trailer. I'm not usually a fan of PvP in FPS, but it added a lot of lasting value to Halo3 for me (even though the main appeal of that game remains co-op). I think the excellent vehicular combat has to do with it, but I also just enjoy the core gunplay.

I wouldn't worry about that. If you noticed, during the video we can see regular weapon spawns and whatnot lying around on the maps. The loadouts will most likely only include things such as your jetpack or bubble shield abilities. Who knows though, maybe there will be certain gametypes where the loadouts will be a bit different than that. From what we know almost anything is possible at this point.

I keep watching the new multiplayer trailer over and over again, and all I can keep thinking is, "This is the ultimate Halo experience."

From the looks of this trailer, I think Bungie may have finally perfected the Halo formula. It looks SO good!

Can't wait until Friday's BWU.
