Home > start button > quit. Actually quit the game application. Then start it up again in a minute. It's annoying but it usually works.

Are there still going to be dedicated servers eventually? I haven't kept up with it, but I thought the MCC was supposed to be running on dedicated servers.

Yeah, okay. I hit the Xbox Home Button, pressed start on the Halo window and quit the game. Re-booted it. Trying again. I keep getting "Players found"...but then no one actually connects. Just keeps looping for 10 min and I get no games.

Its so frustrating. I've only been trying Team Slayer. I guess I should try a different mode. I'm just surprised everyone on here is getting into matches instantly. I don't understand this. I have really good internet. I'm hard wired. My NAT is open wtf.

EDIT: Sigh, another 3 min...still nothing. Wow. Just wow. I don't get this.

343i has been quiet on the matter and ignoring anyone who asks about it... Business as always for them.

I've never had this issue with any other game (well besides something shitting the bed like Diablo 3 at launch or Battlefield which impacted everyone).

I just have no idea why everyone here is getting into games all smoothly. This is beyond fucked. Might just give up and try this in a month. Goddammit.

So far so good. This is the fastest I've been finding BTB games (less then a min), also with even teams to boot. Other playlists are also consistent

^ This is what 343 is hoping on. People to keep on waiting in the bent over position.

They have your money. Worse for me is they have my money and Msoft got a console purchase from me on top of it.

I'll hang out till H5 beta...but man if H5 beta gets delayed or is a turd like this... I'm out. I'll sell my XB1 for however much I can and get a Wii U at a loss. This game is doing nothing but damage to the Halo and Xbox name...

Except I'm pretty sure they HAVE addressed it. They said it's falling back to peer-to-peer until everything is in working order. At that point dedicated servers will be up. I can't back this up with a link because I don't care that much I guess.

Sure, I remember that. Frankie said it here on Neogaf. But it was on release day or the next. Can you really say that an statement made 1 month ago can still be valid, specially with all the changes that have been made?

I know that you're one of the biggest 343i apologists here, but come on, man. We paid for it, and in my case dedicated servers were the number one feature. I want to know what's happening and when can I expect to play the game as it was sold to me.

Don't think that's a possibility anymore with how low the player population is now. Wouldn't be surprised once Halo 5 beta is over if the population is halved even further. Will be tough consolidating playlists and ranks.

Even worse is that there is no population counter to know which games have more players etc.

Seriously the worst part of this game is people quitting out before matches if they don't win the vote. Without drop in multiplayer it has wrecked a ton of my games.

It was working pretty well for me right before the patch... now it's not anymore. Keeps saying session full and takes forever to even get to that :(

I have no idea why I'm not able to connect. :(

I even tried BTB which people say is rapid fire matchmaking. And no dice. I'm on the West Coast, not sure if that matters.

EDT: Fuck it, just did a hard reboot by pulling the plug out the back. Let's see if doing that post-update will fix it.

I don't know if they said anything but its the only playlist where everything feels silky smooth in terms of connection.

And for all those who can't find a game restart your xbox. Dont just quit the game, restart the xbox by going to settings and hitting restart.

got the new unity bundle and this game and you can't seriously play it without with the 15GB update ?? that's just fucked up. Have a console but can't play anything on it.

when i downloaded the patch i was getting nothing. hard rebooted, said downloading matchmaking data, and now im getting matches no issues, the best its ever been. Even matches too.

idk how it is for everyone else but so far so good at least on my end.

There's literally no point in 1-50 ranks if they aren't used for matching the way they used to be.

Hard rebooting my system by pulling out the plug, then starting it again...made it so I got into a match after 2 min on Team Slayer. So if anyone is having issues post patch. Maybe try hard rebooting the system down.

I'll see if the match goes well.

I had to hard reset twice before I got "downloading matchmaking data". Now matchmaking works great.

I just got into my first ever BTB match and it took like 10 seconds.
