Hands on with PC Tekken 7 from E3

So Max says PC version is the best-looking fighting game he has ever seen ever.

I must upgrade my PC!

I don't know if this comment was in jest or not, but seeing how well some people play Tekken on Hitbox controllers (which are basically arcade sticks but with the joystick replaced with buttons for directional inputs), I could see some people having some absurdly clean movement on a keyboard.
We'll see if they can do JFSR on a keyboard.

I'd imagine my keyboard getting broken fast from constantly inputting movement.

I wish he got footage of him actually playing.

No footage allowed. Would have been offscreen either way and might as well of looked like a X360/PS3 game. Youtube compression also really won't offer good comparison to the in-person visuals.

SF5/KI look good on PC, but they're obviously tailored to run on many systems. GGXrd is incredible only by the visual standard it set and you kind of have to like that visual style. MKX looks good but is too poorly optimized on PC so it's not worth mentioning. In terms of detail, physics, particles, polys in models/stages and everything else, T7 PC looks really damn good in person.

Good to hear this. Thanks for the information.

One of my favorite previews are from the EZA crew who are even more casual than Max. Really goes to dispel the myth on how you need to have high level execution to get some enjoyment out of Tekken.

If you just want to mash around with your friends, you can pretty much enjoy any fighter at a casual level.

In terms of actually competing online and against intermediate players, Tekken is far more punishing than the likes of SF due to the inherent execution difficulty of the movement mechanics and the knowledge requirements.

This all depends on whether they've had the sense to disable simultaneous forward and back inputs. If they haven't, keyboard players will be able to KBD insanely quickly.
