This one sucks :-(

I remember my dad getting me into his stuff saying it was some of the funniest stuff you'll ever see. He wasn't wrong.

RIP

Son of bitch. Shit.

Ramis was always an awesome presence in anything he was in. Egon was my favorite Ghostbuster, so this is one of the first celeb deaths in a while that is legitimately making me sad.

Like I say in these threads before someone makes the disgustingly inevitable people die all the time why cry for this guy post.

These are people we've grown up with, they helped shape some of our formative experiences. I still remember seeing Ghostbusters at the cinema and then getting freaked out for weeks afterwards but I enjoyed every min of it. Finally getting old enough to enjoy the sly humour in CaddyShack and Stripes. They enrich our lives with their art.

R.I.P Mr Ramis

I am now in the mood for Caddyshack and it is streaming on Amazon Prime, along with Bedazzled, which I personally felt was an under-appreciated movie. :p

I don't normally post in these celebrity death threads,
but this one hurts, and he was still young.

He truly created some of the most enjoyable
and rewatchable movies in my life.

RIP

....RIP he ...shaped my mind in a way growing up as a kid seeing all his classics on HBO or VHS/DVD. I have no words.

Time for a marathon.

@garywhitta The ultimate tribute to Harold Ramis would be a Twinkie “35 feet long weighing approximately 600 pounds”. Do it @Hostess_Snacks!

Agreed

It's called having empathy, some people lack it

Was just watching Ghostbusters the other day.

Didn't realize he was sick. Guess everyone we know will go at some point, but with each significant figure from my childhood passing the world gets slightly less colorful.

RIP.

I once heard that you know you're getting old when everybody you knew in your childhood is dead.

That said, holy shit. I had no idea this was coming. He will be missed.

My favorite scene in Ghostbusters was when Venkman was talking to Janine for a good two minutes, then leaves. Then up pops Egon from under her desk.

When I was a child, I dressed up as a Ghostbuster for Halloween and wore an Egon mask. It may have been the cartoon version with the weird blond pompadour, but in my mind, I was dressed up as the TRUE Egon, Harold Ramis.

Rest in peace, Harold.

RIP :(

I watched Ghostbusters on Netflix just a few months ago. I hadn't watched it in at least 10 years before that.

I've dreaded the day the first of the original Ghostbusters dies since my childhood. It really sucks :(
