Hunter x Hunter is pretty sweet.
Cowboy Bebop is the pinnacle of serialized anime, and yeah it's no Citizen Kane, but that's anime for you.I never find Trigun or Cowboy Bebop to be some pinnacle of animations. They are just another anime entries, like Doraemon, Evagelion, Dragonball Z, Haruhi. It's like claiming LOTR is the greatest book ever published.
Because there is already a better giant robot throwback show: Giant Robo. Why is the Big O rarely brought up when talking about these best oldies debate. Sure it got weird at the end but it was a hell of a lot better than w.e the f evangelions ending was.
Such beautiful and wonderful garbage though

I find this thread's lack of Cromartie High School.....disturbing.
Never seen it, gonna have to check it out.Because there is already a better giant robot throwback show: Giant Robo.
I had issues with Ultimate. Yes, the original REALLY dropped the ball badly with its own ending....but watching Ultimate with its toned down colour scheme, and without the awesome soundtrack just made me a bit sad.
It's a short OVA series with great animation, like clips from this show look like the intros of other shows.Never seen it, gonna have to check it out.
Trigun is thoroughly mediocre. It barely even qualifies as interesting until the backstory episode.
Even Bebop is overrated. It takes a hell of a long time to become anything more than a decent episodic anime with an unusually excellent soundtrack.
I prefer Samurai Champloo over Cowboy Bebop honestly
+1 to Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit.
DTL is a radical BL extremist, and does not represent what AnimeGAF stands for.Right on the first page, people with anime avatars are poo-pooing Cowboy Bebop.
That's the last straw weaboos. I am declaring a normie fatwah on Animegaf.
ahhhh, this thread reminds me, I need to finish Tatami Galaxy.
Finally.+1 to Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit.
Cromartie High School is hands down the funniest anime I ever watched, Gintama being a close second.
No, it's not. That whole side of Monster makes no fucking sense.Could be just me.
Yep.Mushishi is a fucking masterpiece. It's a work of art that something like Bebop can never hope to achieve. It should be required viewing for anyone even with the slightest interest in anime.![]()
Is everyone done with the love affair with Attack on Titan?
It wraps up better... But I still feel to this day that Cowboy Bebop is superior. Although I'll contend that the ending to the Mugen two parter might have the best ending to an episode ever.Samurai champloo was better than bebop.
Problem is that it took forever to release, and it never had a proper ending. It's a short OVA series with great animation, like clips from this show look like the intros of other shows.
All I see is moe everything now, and am constantly reminded of how awesome the late 90s were for anime.
We got Trigun, Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Serial Experiments Lain, etc.
Has anything in recent years matched or surpassed these gems? Ive been out of the loop for a while.
Edit: I get it, Im the only one who liked Trigun in the whole world.
I haven't watched Cowboy Bebop because there's absolutely no way that the anime can surpass the track Space Lion.
I'm just afraid to watch it and the show won't be nearly as good as that track. It's that good.
It's that good. Don't deny yourself. The pacing of the show, the beauty of the animation, the subtlety of the movement and the voice acting.I haven't watched Cowboy Bebop because there's absolutely no way that the anime can surpass the track Space Lion.
I'm just afraid to watch it and the show won't be nearly as good as that track. It's that good.
I'd consider Ghost in the Shell SAC series better than either of those two. I found Bebop to be a tad overrated.
the bait is real with this oneTrigun >>>>>>>>>>> Bebop
