I thought the Kiev sounds were caused by water pressure on a dam. Maybe that explains the other sounds, too.

Or maybe it's aliens. Ancient aliens.
 
How frustrating with the number stations. I imagine at some point 30 years ago the Soviet Union threw a bunch of agents out into the wild with instructions to fuck shit up in some way if the signals stopped happening, and now they can't stop doing them for that reason. Not having a "stop being active" number message seems like a normal security measure if you're afraid of getting infiltrated by enemy agents.

But I have to wonder what the hell the numbers are about. The loud horn one with people sometimes heard talking in the back, three number transmissions noticed in twenty years, is fascinating.

I tried, but failed, at finding the recording of the Australian guy allegedly calling in to a radio show (Coast to Coast I think) from an psyche ward he was in. He talks about his car breaking down and this yeti/monster thing drags him into a cave filled with legs?

Probably a fake but the guy sounds utterly terrified and convinced this really happened, he gets progressively more and more frantic as he tells the story.

If anyone could find it that would be rad it's totally worth a listen.

The thing with the People's Temple and Jones himself is that you can see how it seemed like an idealistic communal group to outsiders at first, especially when it started in the 50's and 60's. People of all races, all socioeconomic classes, and at the lowest part of their lives would be openly accepted, given a bed, food, and Jones himself would come, look after you personally to take care of you all under the guise of a loving leader of a church. Even the public perception was skewed since they did so much community work and fundraising up until Jonestown, until there were leaks from former members and some preliminary investigation.

It really is pretty damn scary.

Definitely confirmed hoax but what is really strange is the satellite/call really did drop out mysteriously for a bit.

The Pilliga princess encounter call in has to be one of the creepiest things I've heard. His change in tone is so amazing, you can tell he is so terrified.

That call and the Bongo call about the Pilliga Princess are so good. I'm convinced Bongo call is legit, Area-51 guy has been confirmed a hoax.
 
It's pretty incredible that the Jonestown massacre was so well-documented.

I mean, it's horrible to watch and listen to, but I'm very glad that we have so much footage of it.

But the second one sounds just like the Kiev one.

Creepy stuff, but I can imagine easy to fake.

To hear this in person would be utterly disturbing.

Absolutely. I was amazed we had the recording and then I saw the doc and was in awe of the footage they had acquired.

I think it's just that the sound was louder in the first one, but yes, can be fake (as many others I found in a topic on these sound on a mexican vg forums). Also, the sound my refrigerator makes is almost the same. Makes me wonders if they were testing that model in some places.

Completely agree! After Art Bell himself, George Knapp is my favorite. I met him twice in person in the late 80's.

Go to http://www.tunein.com and type in 'Coast to Coast AM'. You can pick up live Coast to Coast AM (at 10pm pacific time) or past shows if you listen earlier. If you want to hear old Art Bell, type in 'Somewhere In Time'.

BTW, this site is awesome as you can get pretty much any radio station/show you want and it's all free.

Does the show not still air new episodes? I've picked up the show for a few minutes on the radio, and my dad used to (without either of us knowing what it was) listen to the show before going to bed all the time.

Oh it does, it's that this particular method of listening plays older shows during the day and the show live as it airs. Rinse and repeat.

It will be on live at 10pm pacific and these are new shows, not repeats. If you're listening to a past show now, either refresh at 10pm or close it out and click the link again. It usually just goes from the repeat right into the live show at 10pm for me, although. It will also allow you to choose from a shitload of stations if one doesn't work properly and there should be at least a couple dozen if not hundreds of them when it comes on live.

Ohhh. Okay, will take note of this and try to find a station that carries it in this region.
That strange noise in Kiev video sounds like a drone album or someone dragging a massive desk across a massive floor. Of course it could also be the armies of hell descending upon the world. It's not terrifying outright, it's the possible causes, since it's been heard all around the world, that I think are scarier. I find the sound rather peaceful in some fucked up way.
 
Tonight's show on C2C is gonna be good.... Even George Knapp said just now this is going to be one of the stranger shows....
