"Haywire" may be the worst movie I've seen in years

Does GAF like or dislike Contagion? Watched it again a couple of days ago and I think it was well done for what it is.

As far as Haywire, I survived the whole thing but didn't care for the movie. The plot gets into those really bad espionage tropes and the final beach scene is quite ridiculious. But far from the worst movie I have seen in years.

I really like Contagion, I got some grotesque fun watching Gwyneth Paltrow
's head getting sliced off
.

It succeeded in making Jude Law ugly, I liked his conspiracy nut character which hits far closer like with people rejecting vaccines because of autism or other rubbish.

yeah, it was quite a bit better than I thought it would. I would have liked more focus on marion's character though, seeing her come to terms with her situation, etc would have been a lot more compelling to watch than chubby damon and his daughter.

Jude Law was the only character i didn't care for, although Marion Cotillard's arc wasn't that intriguing either.

Is Channing Tatum in this? I know Soderbergh likes him since he's in Magic Mike and his upcoming movie about prescription drugs with Rooney Mara and Jude Law.

Haywire went down like melted butter. Whatever hint of meat the script had, Soderbergh probably diced every inch of it. It was actually annoying how lean the film was, I was like, cmon show me a bit more here!

I thought it was ok, but instantly forgettable. There have been much, much worse films.

Me too. Never did that before with a movie.

I've seen many thousands of movies (owned at least 2,000) and there have been less than a handful that I've shut off. (never walked out of a theater by my own choice)
I only made it a couple minutes into Scott Pilgrim, lol.

Damn bruh, the opening of Scott Pilgrim was incredible. I was pretty much sold after those opening credits. And this is coming from somebody who wants to knock out Michael Cera

I liked it. The cinematography, music, and indie feel of this film kept me interested. The action scenes felt fresh too compared with stuff like you see in Bourne or Bond. Loved the ending. Didn't like de Jude Law character.

OP has not seen enough movies.

Edit: people here are talking shit about the Scott Pilgrim movie too. Out of this thread I am!

I'm pretty sure I never saw any. Someone asked him if he'd kissed someone and he said something like "We almost held hands once." and the Cera-ness was at dangerously high levels. I almost went into hypothermia from the douche chills. The trailer was awful. If it wasn't on HBO, I don't think I would ever have started it.

I either don't understand you at all, or you don't know what douche means.

Sorry I forgot my coat.

A seriously entertaining movie, some of the most engaging, visceral action scenes in years.
...played out in complete silence (no music), by a woman who can't act, and laden with cheesy Batman sound effects.

It's just garbage, but I guess if I had to point to one aspect, I guess the fights weren't as horrifically inept as the rest.

A was hoping for "seriously entertaining" and "engaging", but the exposition was so poorly handled, I was bored to tears by the halfway mark. It was only the slightly above passable fights that kept me watching, and even they were spoiled somewhat by awful sound effects and bad acting.
