Guys, I’ll be adding a lot of the usernames on PSN. If you see Selene asking, that’s me. :) I prefer playing with PSN friends than randoms. Although yesterday there as a level 39 guy that was owning us all like a motherfucker. Super high skilled player. We were playing on impossible or suicide mission can’t remember and he was basically checking all side missions by himself.

Hey, the last co-op console game I played seriously was the Mass Effect 3 horde mode. And I'm nearly 50, so I don't follow these things like I used to!
I honestly wasn't sure if you were serious.
Stranger things have been said online. Lol

But I figure you already found out the button under the yellow light on your Dualsense mutes/unmutes your mic?

Had to rebuy this game for pc. The visuals really bothered me in the 60 fps mode. Not a big graphics b* but damn looks the game on Playstation flat as hell.

Did the same and no regrets. Game looks and runs much better on my PC. Its cool to have it on PS too because the pro is coming and cross progression too so i can hop between the two version later

I've only been able to play an hour, but my friend has been playing it allot and keeps saying it gets really hard. How true is this? Kinda killing my excitement to get back in.

It depends. If you move up the difficulty, it can get very hard, but there are numerous difficulty options, like 8-9 IIRC. You can play at 1-2-3, and it'd be mostly a piece of cake, especially with other players.

Also, as you level up, you unlock more powerful stratagems and weapons, which make the game relatively easier (and more fun!) to play and enable you to tackle more challenging difficulties.

It is not like a Souls game if you're worried about that. It gives you plenty of varying difficulty options.
Spot-on from Heisenberg007 Heisenberg007 . I was worried the difficulty would be too much for me early on, but that was constantly jumping to the next difficulty without getting many upgrades and not truly understanding how the game loop worked.

Like the left side of the wartable seemed ridiculously difficult against the robots and I couldn't imagine anything there being much fun, but now I'm geared up I can solo clear those missions on the 3rd and 4th difficulties (which isn't really saying much, juts a stark contrast to where I was/how I was thinking day 1).

Progression in this game has felt nicely fine-tuned. I don't consider myself to be any good at modern games and have physical difficulties with controller sticks, I'm a bit of a Destiny Dad if ever there was one, but I can make progress alone and with others in ways that suit the way I can and like to play with a bit of additional brute-forcing of trivial/easy stuff for unlocks. Not hit the wall yet, but I think the 3rd tier of samples is going to be it for me, but I'm not against some hard carries or gaming the game where possible.

Had my first really good session yesterday. Was able to group up with others with much more success than previously. Got to level 11 and tried some slightly higher tiered items and it really changes the game.

I used to run from chargers, now I bait them, dive behind, and blast their ass with the autocannon, good stuff.

I did have one guy rightly freak out pretty bad cause a teammate was using the incendiary mines with no strategic thought whatsoever. He team killed us all at least twice. The guy finally starts throwing a fit which was hilarious.

My wife even enjoyed it, said it reminded her of Gears of War horde mode in a way. So yea I'm looking forward to future support, especially since they are trying to hire more devs due to games popularity so they can release more content.

15 hours in.

Still enjoying it, but definitely feel like I’m reaching the point where I’d like a little more variety.

I think my favourite, so far, are the simple horde mode missions, where you have to wipe out a specific number of bugs.

This is so good...talk about gaas games done right.

Also the new defense missions are insane, especially the escort mission. We could barely do the challenging one as a 3 man squad
Escort mission has been my favourite so far. I only did one though. They’re hard to find, right?

Silly how much of a fresh air fighting the Automatons is.
Been fighting Terminids about 90% of the time so far.

Also, that railgun. Loving it.
Decided to specialize in taking out heavy opponents.
Railgun + Railgun Orbital strike + Laser Orbital strike.
Specced for recon as well.

Have to say the gameplay is much deeper than I expected. It offers options for a wide variety of playstyles.

Went through all of the highs and lows of the game last night.

Loved the new planets/biomes for the Terminids. I found and fell in love with the Autocannon. Holy shit is that thing awesome.

Still failing to find matches most of the time, but got it to work a few times, and had some really fun games. When I should have gone to bed, I decided to play one more. Was having a great game against Automatons.

Game crashes->salt->error report->bed.

Not an ideal way to end the session. It's a good thing the game is so damn good when it works...

I added a few people from this thread.

I just unlocked the Orbital Laser and it's fantastic against the bots. Melts entire bases on its own. Destroys the fabricators in less than a second and even those cannon towers don't last much longer than that.

I've also been trying out the Anti-Material rifle and it does wonders against the bots as well. Can drop the big Hulk Destroyer things very quickly if you can land the shots.

Any difference with assault rifle vs marksman on the bots?

Haven't used the marksman rifle much, but it's easer to hit weak points. On the bots I'm not sure if weak points have any armor that resists standard rounds or how effective explosive rounds are in comparison. There's a super rifle you can unlock in the Warbond that I haven't tried either.

The Anti-Material/AT rifle is very situational, does a lot of damage and can go through (most) armor. Plus you can spam fire it in an emergency. The downsides obviously being it's a call in and has very limited ammo.
