How do you use Azmodan's Q?

I choose the damage buff when killing minions but It doesnt do enough damage to kill them and when I wait for just a pixel of heal to kill them, the minions kill them all

My understanding is for that talent, you pretty much need a lane partner as coordinated as possible to help you get as many last hits with it throughout the match as possible.

As mentioned above, get a lane partner thatlly weaken the minions (Jaina, Tassadar, and Kael are all good examples). Then Q them for the kill.

If you're solo, you just gotta auto-attack the Archers in the back and then Q down those three while your minions get hung up on the melee dudes.

Ufff my partners were always killing my farm then, gotta choose the first option about doing more damage in long distance Qs when I am laning alone then

I use the Taste for Blood talent just fine. I can usually get +100 damage by 10-12 minutes in... It gets a ton easier once you get level 10 and take Black Pool (or whatever its called). Did you try asking your team to let you farm the last-hit on minions? If not, give it a try, I usually find it works well if you're patient enough with shitty/inexperienced teammates.

The long distance Q is probably for the best if you don't have a duo partner, in particular if you are doing QM and don't even know what map you'll end up on as some are better than others.

Milly79 can talk more about it, but he's played a good bit of Azmodan using the long range Q and still puts out top or second highest numbers along with plenty of dunk kills. It's just the easier, more reliable option solo.

Blowing your q on a minion wave to stack while a team fight is happening a couple feet away is one of the greatest joys in the game tho

Like whenever i see that happen all i feel is tremendous empathy, like i know exactly where you're coming from azbrodan

you can't put a price on sparks
hit 50k gold yesterday and went on a spending spree. bought the money pig, treasure goblin, and kaelthas. kaelthas might be my new best character, but that might be because he's overpowered at the moment. i tried not to do chain bomb on minions so much just to see how i'll do when they nerf it and i still did fine.

how long is that doubloon mount going to be around for? i'll probably buy it before i buy another hero.

I wonder if he waited 6+ min in the matchmaking queue. If you wait that long, all rules are supposedly suspended and you just get matched with whoever.

Edit - Guess that wasn't it. HotS twitter responded that they're looking into it, as they were watching live and were confused too, lol.

it's okay thrall, nobody can take away those first few weeks of relevance you had

and we'll always have bot games

Thrall can still be viable in QM but you're kind of at the mercy of the randomness and you gotta wait a while to come online. Once you get Wind Shear and Grace of Air, the fun starts.

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
More gold sink, yay!

Also, this game pretty much forces me to buy the Doombreaker bundle...

The shrine fights in the new map are designed in such a way that they basically reward teams with heroes with good wave clear and punish those without. "It's snowball-y" Due to the random nature of matchmaking, you can basically lose the map at queue (or stupid picks) if your team is lacking wave clear and the other team has decent wave clear and isn't filled with complete and utter mouthbreathers.

A potential way to resolve the snowball-y nature of the shrine fights would have been to change up what you fight. Each shrine fight gets progressively more difficult with what you have to fight rather than just kill 30 creep the fastest each and every shrine fight. Just because some heroes have great wave clear doesn't mean they can tank some of the stronger neutrals in this game.

I was playing with Zagara yesterday and really liked the character. When you have a decent player with you that can help with keeping the enemies away from you, the damage potential is pretty great.

I think I'll end up playing with more Specialist and Warrior characters. Still deciding if I should spend my precious 10k gold with Sylvanas or Johanna...

I've had it happen on a rare occasion. I think there's very specific scenarios when it can happen and not just when there's a 5 stack who doesn't give a damn.

Yeah. That and a few other issues. One I feel the shrines don't have enough time between their activation for how strong the Punisher is. The issue tends to be that if you lose the first shrine, you'll probably lose the next one as well because you'll be behind in talents and won't have caught up in time. Then another Punisher destroys a keep and you're even further behind for the next one. Least in say Cursed Hollow teams need 3 so you can try and ignore some to make sure you're on an even field to defend against them getting the third.

More over the Punisher punishes teams who don't have a tank(or maybe someone who can quickly get out of the way and "bait" the jump). Which is a big problem in QM since you can often not have a tank. It'll basically jump and stun the person who is closest, which is fine if the wall is still up or it hits a tank. If it hits a character who isn't a tank and the wall is down, then chances are that person is dead as the stun gives the enemy team enough time to screw them over.

Zagara is tons of fun. One of the first characters I initially wrote off and kicked myself once I actually played as her.

The best were my arguments for not playing Zagara despite many people telling me she's super fun to play as.

"BU-BU-BU-BUT... I DON'T LIKE STARCRAFT (2) LORE; WHICH IS WHY I WON'T PLAY AS HER!"

A few weeks later, I announced her as my favorite character to play out of all the heroes I've gotten to lvl 10.

Had my first real run with the spooky scary skelton Leoric the last two days. Went 11-3 with proto and Milly79, not too shab.

Of the "recently released" heroes (Jaina - now), I feel like they really nailed the kit/feel people would have expected of a lot of the heroes with the exception of Thrall. That's kind of ironic since he's like the John Cena of the company, but I digress.

In particular they've nailed the fun factor with these recent Eternal Conflict event heroes and the play style of Leoric and Monk were a nice refresh on what we already had for those classes.

I highlighted two of your points because they pretty much replicate what I've experienced and felt.

The shrines definitely arrive too hot and heavy. Even a 15 to 30 second increase between shrines would do wonders for making the map both last a little longer as well as be more competitive. The map is currently tracking at 1 minute 5 seconds shorter on average than Sky Temple...a map that basically has a hard enrage timer due to the way it's temples work.

Second, your point about tanks in QM is one of the times I feel may turn out to be like the old "no support vs support" days did. Not having a tank if you are the defending team is rough. Hell, it's rough even with a tank, but without...then you factor in how well Leoric and Johanna wave clear for the shrines and it's an even bigger deal.

With all that said, my winrate on Infernal Shrines is pretty stellar through the first week across my accounts and that's mainly because we approach it like folks were discussing a few pages back.

If we win a shrine, we push to secure a fort and whatever kills the Cena gifts us. If we are running trio and someone has to go back as the Cena spawns, we have them split push another lane for even greater EXP lead because pushing with the Cena - even 4 v 5 - is still a win due to his leap stun. Then we fall back and mercilessly grab every merc camp we can safely take to keep the pressure up, rinse, repeat.

If we lose a shrine or see we will lose it, we try to coordinate with the pubs to have only 2 defend the Cena while we soak an off lane and push with 2 in another lane. Typically this keeps us within half a level to a level down in experience instead of two or three levels and we still have a realistic shot for the second Punisher. Defending John Cena with your whole team in the early game is just asking for the five knuckle shuffle.

I have played duo or trio nearly exclusively throughout that time frame which definitely makes doing this easier for sure. Regardless...

It all comes back to the point jaundicejuice made above. You can't do any of that I just described reliably if you don't have at least one really good wave clear hero on your team (preferably two). It's just so hard to get shrine kills when you don't have it and the enemy has a Leoric and Kael'thas, for example, who can kill multiples at once in a decent sized area. I'm unsure how they can fix that aspect of it...but I do feel like we have skewed so far in this game towards heroes with good wave clear over the ones with bad that this is not something we need more of.

Now all you have to do is play Murky.

^ It's the truth. You are seriously missing out Yoshichan.

As annoying and rage inducing as he may be for you to play against or with, the amount of fun you can have with him - even when getting stomped - typically far exceeds any other hero due to his death mechanic.

You'd have to try really fucking hard to rage while playing Murky because death is so inconsequential. Murky is like the hero conglomerate of Pinky and the Brain. If you did it, it'd be a sign that you should never, ever, ever own a weapon IRL. :D

Im into but i wasnt ready for how different it would be despite all the evidence, intro was immaculate tho

My biggest issue with it is I get motion sick like a mother after playing for more than 45 mins. That's common for most next gen games with me sadly. Maybe I should buy some dramamine?

If on pc maybe disable motion blur, and i think there is a camera shake option under camera controls for things like sprinting

I'm on PS4. Hadn't bothered to check but it happens to me a lot in games where I control the camera. This, Infamous 2 that came with my PS4, and even Splatoon give me motion sickness after playing for a bit. Part of the reason why I never finish any games anymore.

I was queued with a full group on QM the other day and I think it made us wait more than six minutes to play. We end up fighting a group that felt like bots, no idea what they were doing and got absolutely crushed. I checked their records after the match and it was another group of five, none of them were over level 10. Felt bad for them, matchmaking like that shouldn't ever happen.

Couldn't disagree more. Thought the intro was blergh. Dragged on far too long. xD

Enjoying it now I'm actually into the game part, but there's not been much in the way of story since the intro. Ironic really considering my problem with the more recent MGS games tends to be there's too much story...

Really hope that means unranked drafting is coming, but I'm not sure it will. :(

Yah thats probably why we differ, all i really care about is the storytelling

Oh, I enjoy storytelling in games it's the reason I play half the games I do, I just don't enjoy being absolutely overloaded with it right at the beginning of the game. Which is what happens very frequently in the more recent MGS games. But as I said, I am actually disappointed that since the intro there hasn't really been much in the way of story. Pacing isn't Kojima's strong suit. x.x
