I imagine her kit will be self shield, shield other, and grenade. Her trait should be the whole energy building mechanic.... But then I wonder if she'll have to reload, would they put that on D? and I wonder if she'll be able to move and shoot, other wise the laser as an auto attack is gonna be lame and you won't really be able to take advantage of the increased damage... Unless maybe the increased damage will only apply to her grenade. Also, without a real disable she'll be hard to fit into a comp, like every other warrior without disable, unless the gravo is enough to make up for it.... Which it might.

If she can't move and laser AA it seems kind of hopeless.

You are right that not having a built in form of control will hurt her, but I think she'll be more of a bruiser anyway. Not to mention the fact that she can actually protect another target, which is unique insofar as tanks go, and may open up some new stuff in terms of comps.

The Graviton Surge is either gonna be the most OP thing or a joke. A lot depends on the size of the AOE and the rate of charge. If it's as big as the OW AOE, dat's gonna be gud.

The fact that most warriors end up as "bruisers" indicates something is wrong with warrior development I think.

I think it's more likely that something is wrong with those 3 than anything is wrong with the others. They are also 3 of the most vanilla heroes in game, as well.

I don't see any way she can be anything but a bruiser and be similar to her OW version. She's not used as a primary tank there, though she does have excellent mitigation. She's used to shred people and allow others to shred with her ult.

They need to fix the warriors who should be able to solo tank but currently can't or are too niche. Stitches/Diablo/etc The mobility issues are real.

I guess she kinda seems like a ranged Artanis in a way. No real engage or disengage, and has to get in and stay in combat to be effective. So that makes some sense now that I stop and think about it.

Xel'Naga artifacts have begun to appear all across the Nexus, and SCVs are being deployed to collect them. Terminate the interlopers with extreme prejudice and collect artifact pieces!
To participate, log into the game and play. You'll get a daily quest to collect artifacts. At the start of a match, artifact pieces and SCVs may appear. Collect pieces to restore the artifact, but watch out for SCVs trying to interfere

After watching the video, Zarya looks like a LOT like Tyrael in the Support/Warrior hybrid category. Complete with Holy Ground.

Zarya is exactly what this game needs... "support" playmaking via counterplay with the shields, initiation/cc with the ultimate.

Alarak looks dope but his kit looks disappointing to me. A melee assassin/bruiser with no basic ability initiation or mobility... didn't they make that mistake with Artanis? Unless his charge ultimate is on a really quick cooldown (i.e. 15-20 seconds) he looks weak.

His Q animation appears really slow and will require setup from someone else. His W's effectiveness will depend on its cast range. His E looks like a lame line damage skill but maybe it has a cool effect on it that we don't know about yet (mana burn? %hp? more damage if more targets hit?). Also, what's his trait?

It looked like the displacement pushed people caught in it towards you and people caught in the outskirts of it to the side. At least it pushed 2 heroes into a mosh pit tangentially in the video. Could be a very high skill ceiling ability.

yeah I like it since it appears to have that flexibility

how "good" it will be though will depend on its range, since it looks like it could be difficult for him to get into useful positioning without his charge. but if he can knock people into his Q from a decent distance away with the W, that may not be the case.

if it turns out he requires the charge to get into useful positioning then we're going to end up with a nasty win and pick rate imbalance on his heroics

Agreed, but that user gets triggered by seemingly anything I post because I don't play the game actively anymore and generally post with criticisms that relate solely to the competitive and esport aspect of the game.

The viewership and esport aspect has become how I participate in the game and its community, and it is just as valid as anyone else. See: DOTA 2's viewership.

You never see me bitching or reacting negatively to the opinions of that poster despite the fact that they are generally from a completely different perspective than mine. It is always me being called out first for absolutely no reason.
