In the new college I'm in I'm taking accounting courses so I don't actually see many Mexican men (some Mexican women though that are older but very nice their 1st/2nd generation). But last semester I had to have a group project for an entrepreneur class and I was partnered up with four Mexican men. The other one just smirked and asked if I would grade him 90% other two just bailed (once after he told me he got his financial aid money). Teacher gave them As because it was my fault that I wasn't delegating better. Hmmm yeah I don't know. I think they were just the sucky students, race aside. Actually I have met two very kind and funny Mexican men at a bank I job shadowed at. You're right I'm sorry there are some really kind Mexican men I've met (those two as of yet) but until I see more that 2 nice Mexican men (and you) I'm going to keep feeling this way. And you telling me of nice hardworking family oriented people just isn't going to make me feel differently.

and there aren't in any other race? I've worked on countless group projects over my years in school. Many of which I had to work with lazy fucks, however I don't attribute their race to everyone of that same race. And sure there are lazy Hispanics, but there are also many who work extremely hard to make a living in the US.

yes unemployment and incarceration is a huge problem across our many hispanic communities. I have lots of hope for the upcoming generation born here though. they are on the right path.

Yep. The majority of Hispanic Americans identify as White (especially if they're Cuban, Spanish, or Argentinian) and most of those that do not have large amounts of European DNA.

There are of course Black Hispanic and Asian Hispanic people in the United States, but not many.

depends on the area, here in south florida you've got a lotta dominicans & the like, and i don't even wanna get into the awful one-drop rule shit. that earlier post about hispanics identifying as white to distinguish from darker hispanics was pretty interesting though, i wonder how much truth there is to that (because - anecdotally - a distinction does indeed seem to be drawn over here)
