The salt in this thread is hilarious. Buy a ps5 and horizon, people, there’s no need to be salty.
You got a source on being bullshit or are you talking out of your ass?no, he thinks that devs often spout PR bullshit in interviews to create buzz for their games.
and it works. here's a whole news story and accompanying thread based on this one sentence
I might have bought a PS5 if i wouldn't have to camp on 15 sites hoping i'll get a console at store price, even from legit stores. They bundle it with crappy games, shitty movies, slap a 50% higher price on it and call it a day.The salt in this thread is hilarious. Buy a ps5 and horizon, people, there’s no need to be salty.

No amount of fast SSD loading gonna make me sell a kidney to have one.
Oh and Horizon is just your standard open world game, i can play a dozen other Sony or Ubisoft titles and have the same itch scratched![]()
This thread is this:Wtf is this thread? Bunch of people bitching about absolutely nothing like a bunch of school girls.
"Gamer license"I mean if you don't know how to play "Current Year Open World Tower Climb Collect-Them-All Best Game Ever Till The Next Same On™"
then you should give up your gamer license and resuest a perm-ban on GAF
The games should have whatever the devs want the games to have.If that's true, it's the dumbest shit I've ever heard. Native PS5 games shouldn't have loading screens at all, there should just be a quick fade-out-fade-in. Put your gameplay tips in a help menu or whatever.
Edit: Ok, good that this can be disabled. But are there still 13s load times? There really shouldn't be if this is truly a PS5 engine. But it's not I guess.
Fuck everyone who might need those tips, amrite? Jesus, grow the fuck up. So many assholes are acting like everyone who plays this game should know exactly how the game works. Like all products it should be tailored to what the consumer wants. Are consumers asking for tips in loading screens? Or are they asking for them to be integrated elsewhere in the game? The games should have whatever the devs want the games to have.

They said they have data that shows the players like the tips. So, they’re right and you’re wrong. You’re always free to not play the games. The developers are free to do whatever they want, this is called artistic expression and free speech. Are you against those or are you just an entitled child?Like all products it should be tailored to what the consumer wants. Are consumers asking for tips in loading screens? I could give a fuck less what the developers want.
The game should teach you those things through gameplay, not through loading screen tips. If you have to artificially prolong your loading screens to teach players important things (or even have them at all even they're not actually needed), you should rethink how your game is designed.
This is so stupid. It's an optional accessibility feature. Get over it.
It's enabled by default though.
Honestly, some people are looking for any excuse whatsoever to shit on HFW. It’s almost like they have an ulterior motive to try and undermine the universal appraisal and success this game is getting. I wonder why is this happening. Would you know? Some may like the tips and won’t know that they are there if disabled by default. Those who are annoyed by it can turn it off.
Why is this a problem?
And what is truly amazing is the fact that no one would have noticed if the dev had not said anything.
AsAss of Can Whooping said, get over it and play the game.

So long as I get to shit on a game i dont like its cool. /sThis thread really shows who does who does not actually read source material before giving their hot take.
I think my main issue is that the game really shouldn't have visible loading screens at all. It only does because it's really a PS4 game at its core.
First you dip shit, I made a comment, I’m not in here blowing up the thread with a tantrum of my “fake outrage”. Quit trying to read more into my comment than what the intent was. They said they have data that shows the players like the tips. So, they’re right and you’re wrong. I disabled the tips btw because I don’t need them but I’m not a whiny infant to cry over this and make fake outrage like you and others are doing ITT.
Why did you feel the need to call me “dip shit”?First you dip shit, I made a comment, I’m not in here blowing up the thread with a tantrum of my “fake outrage”. Quit trying to read more into my comment than what the intent was.
Second, I didn’t say what their data showed, I made a comment that is what it SHOULD be based off and not their decision as a developer on their own. which was the only intent of my comment. The second part is my personal opinion on the matter as a consumer.
If their data says the majority of people in their focus testing liked it, great. The question I have is did they just ask them if they like tips in the loading screen or did they say hey, these tips come at the cost of faster loading times, do you still like them or should they be somewhere else also that’s easily accessible? Those questions matter and the way you ask them matter.
That is what it does by default but there is a setting to disable that and load immediately into the game and skipping hints.Maybe add a button to skip the hint screen when loaded? Easy enough right?
WTF is this post? I thought gaf was broken.Honestly this is just plain dumb.
Why brag about the loading speeds if you're going to bottle neck it so that people can have enough time to read something they're not going to read?
F
Why even brag about loading the
WTF is this post? I thought gaf was broken.
And thats what they did...the outrage in this topic is cringle and childish, i mean: o....my...GodIts pretty simple, load the game instantly, and give player an option to skip the tip with a button press. Problem solved, everyone is happy.
No. You must be concernedThanks to this thread l now have superfast loading no button press. It is super fast.
The salt in this thread is hilarious. Buy a ps5 and horizon, people, there’s no need to be salty.
How did this get to the 3rd page? You can either enable the loading screens or disable them. How did this generated all these discussions?
Read the thread. There is an option to put you right into the game without having to read or press anything.Honestly this is just plain dumb.
Why brag about the loading speeds if you're going to bottle neck it so that people can have enough time to read something they're not going to read?
It's enabled by default though.
But I wrote my first reply before I knew what this actually was. The thread title and first post make it sound like the game actually slows down the loading to show the tips, whereas I now understand that's not really the case.
"NeoGAF users post so fast we had to make it slower so they can read more than the headline before posting."
