On a serious note, I don't understand why some have to downplay the other game they obviously aren't even planning to get. I mean, the best case scenario is that both games turn out amazing. It doesn't hurt anyone except those invested in platform war nonsense.
Also, that one guy saying Horizon getting super positive impressions doesn't mean it will be good is LOL worthy. That can literally be applied to any game, including BOTW.

Yeah, I love the amount of destructibility I've seen in the environment.
It's almost like they feel threatened that another game may steal their preferred game's thunder. It's really stupid, and it's fucking Zelda of all things. Almost nothing can threaten that game series, and it has a history of quality entries. I love both, and I am really positive about them, I just give Horizon more love because it's the underdog, and I want it to succeed and become a big franchise.

Most consider Zelda games to be Action Adventures rather then RPGs.
There's some RPG elements, but depending on who you ask. They are not full RPGs.
Actually I think Nintendo doesn't even consider them RPGs. They always called them action adventures games.
I didn't want to bring this up until someone else did, but permit me to be more blunt.
It feels as if because the Wii U was the underdog for several years, Nintendo fans really want Zelda to succeed, actually more than that, achieve OoT status, so the brand doesn't fade into irrelevance. I don't mean to insult anyone or bring up fanboyish statements, I just feel this is what's happening right now. You can also see a similar behavior towards the Switch where the big fans believe any positive news regardless of how logical it is.

The dialogue scenes. Naughty Dog is so far ahead of everybody else. Still, this game has beautiful art direction. At times, it looks like concept art. I like how everything in the world feels alive.

honestly i don't think that's it. I think it's just people being people. The kind of people that likes one team and hates on every other team for no reason other than reasons. I don't think anyone thinks zelda won't succeed.
But, that scene is absolutely hilarious. No one can deny that. Anyone who follows Horizon knows it's no where indicative of the actual game, but just a scene that we can say "slipped through the cracks" in jest. I want this game to do well so badly, we need new IPs to succeed so bad. it encourages more devs (and publishers) to take more risks. and more variety never hurts.

Anyway, I'm certainly not going to defend that Horizon scene. The lines were genuinely awful to the point I was wondering if it was actually satirical or something. Haven't heard the voice acting, but I doubt even Troy Baker or Nolan North could have made them sound natural.
Yeah, at least in Japan it is classified as アドベンチャー (Adventure).

I don't think it have, you get skill poimt when you level up or complete quest, then you use those to gain new skill from skill tree likee ability to slow mo aiming when jumping or sliding etc.
Stats are for your weapon and equipment, even then it's simpler than typical rpg. The equipment also have slot you can put modification that add some bonus stat like elemental properties or resistances etc.
eh, no point into turning it into a vs thread. let the joke run it's course and either it'll get locked from being off topic, or it'll get back on topic.
Either way, it's more fun to just enjoy and talk about the games we are excited about. No need to defend either game, they both stand well on their own. So let's just enjoy the HYPE TRAIN!!!!

Nah, there are some people in there trying to discuss what the actual topic is about, so no reason to spoil it even more than it already has been for them. And like I said before, that cutscene is actually a gift in disguise. It let's you know who to not even bother with as far as Horizon discussions go. Much like the Chloe Uncharted 3 comparison image.

RPG or whatever, I don't care what ppl wanna call it tbh. It's got dino bots, I'm there day 1.
I love how there are people who have claimed to cancel their preorder based on that cutscene, and they literally haven't watched ANYTHING else outside of that one [terrible, terrible] scene. I mean, why even have a preorder if you don't even care to watch any of the hours of new gameplay on it? One guy in particular was posting like he wasn't interested at all in watching any gameplay of it. He just saw that video and that's the end of it for him apparently.
That stupid scene will be the bane of this game. I can only hope that it's not indicative of other side quest writing/acting. I wonder what Guerilla thinks of the attention it's getting, since I'm SURE they've seen it by now. Maybe there will be a patch that alters it.

About the game time , we don't have any confirmation , we will get something in few days, but according to some previous leak, (Cough)which i don't made a thread about it(Cough), the main story will be anything in between 20-25 hours. There is no game plus , so basically you have Quiet an extra time to complete other stuff. it will be around 60-80 hours of gameplay in the end.
But that was a downgrade, no??
