Horizon Zero Dawn livestream

In the past few weeks, I went from very cautious interest to really trying hold my composure and anticipation. The game looks absolutely stunning. Now if I can only make up my mind on digital or physical.

So why aren't we parading around the fact you can knock trees down in this game..?

Gameplay wise Knocking down trees in particular doesn't seem too impactful, but it does add a lot of atmosphere. I was much more impressed when the corrupter destroyed the house (in fact I recall praising the details in how the wood splinters apart) in the E3 2016 sequence or when the Thunderjaw destroyed some cover in a sequence.

This stuff looks so smooth.

I don't think it have, you get skill poimt when you level up or complete quest, then you use those to gain new skill from skill tree likee ability to slow mo aiming when jumping or sliding etc.

Stats are for your weapon and equipment, even then it's simpler than typical rpg. The equipment also have slot you can put modification that add some bonus stat like elemental properties or resistances etc.

Sounds RPG enough.

I'm going digital. Part of me always wants to sell a game once I've completed it, but then I doubt myself and think I'll want to play it again. Digital means I'll always have it lol

I feel like Zelda is going to get a free pass in reviews like a lot of Nintendo games seem to do in certain areas. I wonder if Horizon is going to be treated like it needs to be the coming of god to gain 8s and 9s. Sony exclusives are often put through the wringer like no other.

Well not this gen, i think . On the other hand , microsoft exclusives are getting low score from the reviewers!

Honestly, Micro hasn't really brought any innovation to the table atm past Horizon. I jut don't see Gears and Halo being much more than shooters, and BF1 has that all covered for people like me. On the other hand Nintendo can be graded hard sometimes, but even crappy Nintendo games get 6s or 7s where if Sony mode them they would get 5s.

1. Citation needed. Generally Nintendo puts out quality titles, so you'll always get an 8/10 or more

2. What has this got to do with Horizon and why have you dedicated three posts in a row to it?

I didn't realise it had this level of destructibility - that's great! Having the environment matter and not just being set-dressing adds a lot to the feel an immersiveness of the game IMO.

I did see the E3 2016 gameplay demo where the 'demon' machine smashes the house, but I don't think I paid attention to the fact trees can be knocked down as well.

This game looks better than Zelda to me. Looks like GOTY material.

Honestly, Horizon looks good but you're sounding a bit insecure. Obviously Sony is your favourite and that's fine, but there's no need to dump on other hardware manufacturers to facilitate your preference.

*rolls eyes*

In all fairness, he is not *that* wrong about Zelda reviews. I love Skyward Sword, but 93 on Metacritic? Really? Then again, you could probably argue the same about other gaming series. Maybe it's just the nature of game reviews.
