How does GAF feel about snapchat?

Has anyone reactivated their account within the 30 day deletion timeframe before? I reactivated mine and I can't seem to view any of my friend's stories. I can receive snaps but thats about it. Does it just take a bit for them to start loading again?

It's awesome, I love it. Love just putting on random things I see/find day to day. Good way to see what other people are up to as well. It's a lot more personal and connected than most social media.

Even as a 24 year-old person, I have no interest in it at all. It truly has permeated the social culture of the next generation though. I don't like it though.

At 38 I enjoy it because I can share little moments and if some people watch it, cool. If some people skip through it, cool.

Basically I like that there is no approval system.

I'm 24 and Snapchat is the only app that makes me feel like an old man. I have it but every time I open it I'm so confused and I have no idea what to do. Don't get how to follow people or how stories work. A friend tried to learn me a while ago but I didn't really get it.

It's a shame, because it's so popular and I feel so out of the loop, lol.

I'm 39 and the fiance and I use it a lot. And I use it to connect with the younger siblings. Sometimes a quick moving image with a limited life span is better than a text.

I'm not a big user of social media but I absolutely love it. I graduated in june and I and all my friends dispersersed across the country after that. Snapchat is great for keeping touch with the day-to-day stuff, photos really do provide a lot of context chat doesn't, so it lowers the bar for reconnecting. I feel much closer to my friends you use than those who don't these days.

Same, but I am 36 :p Every time I try to use it, I feel lost.

Only reason I have it is because my 20-something co-workers will often use it to keep me up-to-date on what is happening on-site at other job locations.

But Snapchat is so easy to use

Isn't that what Facebook is for?

It's great, the only social media app I use (age 27).

Perfect for gym pump snaps, nudes, perving on other peoples stories.

Only thing I hate are those stupid dog tongue filters everyone uses and people who put a 200 second long snap story every day about useless shit, I just block those people though.

Pretty great. I rarely ever sent photos in messages before Snapchat, but it's a quick, easy, and burden free way to send and receive potentially meaningless photos.

I'm 22. It's not for me, I can't be bothered to open one more app daily to see photos and videos that just disappear once you see them. Also I'm too lazy to ask other people for their username. Maybe if it had an option to add people from Facebook (like on IG) I'd consider using it, but right now, no thanks.

Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are enough for my social media fix.

I like the idea but the app itself is pretty bad. Data, battery and memory hog. Technical gripes aside though, its pretty much the only social media app I use daily.

Now that I'm dating again I like it. Seems like some people are starting to get better at putting throw away pics on snapchat and actual nice photos on Instagram. I prefer it that way.

Sucks that the replays can get buggy though. Also freezes my phone up a lot.

You block people because of their stories that you're under no compulsion to watch or pay any attention to?

25, I enjoy it and a good amount of my friends use it. It's a fun way to see a more intimate side to people you're not near. It sounds weird when I type it out that way. I like it though.

21 and use it on occasion, mostly for looking/sending out stories and also for picture and videos texts.

I don't like the text thing in it though. Sometimes the shit disappears before I can read it due to some glitch or something.

I'm 32 and had it before, but I got frustrated with the messages deleting themselves, making it hard to carry on a conversation over time. I know, you can save messages but it was just a hassle. Also, the way that snapchat was pushing the stories from companies really irritated me.

23 and I only use it to snap with girls.

I just don't even think about using it otherwise. Don't even have half my friends on it, too lazy to ask for their usernames. Wish you could just get friends from facebook like on instagram.

I finished college in 2010, so Instagram is the last social media app that doesn't make me feel like an old person lol. Missed out on the Snapchat wave by a year or two. I do use it a bit - I work at a university so I know a lot of student workers with their damn cars and music and Snapchats - but practically none of my close friends use it, so I never really got into it. It seems cool, though, I'd use it more if more of them did.

From my Old Person In Internet Years position, as apps like Messenger and iOS Messages and Whatsapp and etc continue to add multimedia features and time-sensitive content and whatnot, it seems that Stories are pretty much the last 'thing' that Snapchat really has. (And, well, the huge user base.)

Edit: If we're talking about "feel" on the "old man yells at cloud" level, I don't feel any better or worse about Snapchat than I do about any other social app.
