Actively posting since the last big GAF server crash (June 2004) and lurking 1 year before that. I did recognize some familiar names posting on the newsgroups before that.

been posting since early 1999, but I've been posting more often in the last year or so and it's only accelerating

This board has been around since the 90s? Holycrap. Boy would I liked to have been here during the N64/PSone era.

Anyway, I've been here since 2001.

I've been lurking here since before the Dreamcast. I started posting shortly after, but quit for some reason. Now I just post whenever I'm in the mood. I guess I just have anti-social issues with Internet forums. Well, possibly that, and I hate my current username.

Good god, I don't know. Late 1999 or early 2000?

Nowadays I just driveby political posts and try to snark it up some to keep me from not dying from boredom at work. I don't really play consoles at all anymore, and my PC gaming is down a whole bunch outside of MMOing for a couple hours a night.

96 or 97. Back in the times of The Rock and horrible, horrible flame wars. I posted as:

KiiLA
Duane
MechanizedDeath

before this one. In the early days, I spent more time at PSX Nation and usenet than here. In 9 years, I'll have spent half my life on here. :lol PEACE.

2000, i remember karasu from segaweb, i think crazy killah (wellington) used to post there as well. segaweb was disintegrating around that point and most of the news and games discussions were breaking here, so i left segaweb and joined.

Been here since 99. Got linked here from IGN and never left. The Gigadent/Deadmeat/Futami threads were legendary :lol

Lonestar

I joined for Erin Brockovich discussion
March 2000 was the creation of Lone, and I think I guest lurked for up to about a year before that.

I think 2001 or 2002. I lost my account in the great gaming age crash of 2004 (it was last year wasn't it). Fortunately I was able to keep my name with my new account. Gaming-age rocks, I remember my first thread, Any news on Team Fortress 2? I almost got laughed out of here.

Since the first day it existed. I probably made one of the first dozen posts on the original GAF boards.

Sometime in 2001...think I started lurking that summer.

Why do people use diff. usernames? IMO the whole point of a username is so you can be recognized on the net, yet anonymous in the real world.

Been lurking for ages, around '02-'03?? Buggers me, other than I think it was after Megaton. But I'm pretty sure I began posting early '04.

I was here for a couple of months whenever Superkyro/Opa's 10,000th post was (2001?), then quit. Now I've been here for a couple weeks or so.

Late 2000 I'm sure. I've made it through with a few member names, all revolving around 'Substance'... Substance007, Count Substance...
Early 2000 I was hovering from Nintendorks to the GA Forums. Quite quickly, I lost all interest in the Ndorks forum.

It was about a year or so before the DC came out. Didn't post much, but when I did it was under a different name (Fanboy).

Crazy times back then with the whole DC/PS2 clash. Guys like Opa with their hilariously sad threads, Deadmeat coming with complete BS on a daily basis.

So, that would be like '98 I think?
