How much are you spending on a Switch day one?

That is the exact one I have in my drawer waiting for the Switch launch. Not sure how much that chart helps, though, because the Switch could actually bottleneck it. Like I said, I'm betting high -- there's a chance I (we?) lose out.

The answer would be no.

And it is doubtful it would be worth the money. The read write speeds are about the same 95 MB/s read write between the different companies such as sandisk, samsung, and PNY. It may be worth it to just purchase a 200GB and wait till the much larger sizes come out. Buying a 256 at this point in time may not be worth it. Unless you really plan on purchasing every offering from nintendo this year. For well over $100 less you can get a large card and comparable speeds. The 200GB are rated at 90 MB/s.
What are the read speeds on the cartridge do we know?

Out of pocket, not much. Have paid off the console and Breath of the Wild Special Edition with store credit. Super Bomberman R is a day one pickup for me as well. In total, roughly $430-$460 (depending on how they price Bomberman) with just about all of that being covered with GameStop store credit. I will pick up a Pro Controller but that probably won't happen until around the time Splatoon 2 is out. Afterbirth+ really depends on its optimization. The Binding of Isaac hasn't had much success on past handhelds, I'm hoping that this platform will change its fortunes.

380 for Switch +Zelda
20 for accessories (case+screen protection)
in euros

Honestly there's nothing else until Mario Kart and I don't care about Pro controller for a Zelda game...especially since I'll mostly play handled

I'm going to sell Wii U+my 2nd 3DS for around 290 euros so that's 110 euros total that I'll actually spend

Although I didn't quite understand what is included for you to plug in the Switch like you would do with a 3DS so might add 20 eur here and therea

I dunno, the $148 option is pretty good. Might be hard to pass up.

$0, sadly. Not worth it for me until Mario hits the system. But I am buying that Zelda CE just because it's CE and Nintendo.

Console - $300
Extra Dock - $90
Zelda - $60

I will get the following either that weekend or following week.
Pro Controller - $70

I know I don't technically need an extra dock but given that I travel between my place and my girlfriends place regularly it is just worth it to have an extra one.

Grey console: $300
Zelda: $41 (GCU and a $10 rewards coupon)

I'll get a case of some sort when I find one that I like. I wasn't feeling the one in the Zelda special edition for some reason, so I opted for the regular edition.

I'll pick up a Pro Controller later.

It's shaping up like this:

Switch Console
Zelda BotW
64gb mini SD
Screen protector
Either charging dock or the charge grip

Not so bad. Have some BB GCU certs to blow, so maybe a pro controller or extra joy cons as well.

$400 console, not sure what else because I'm going to do some trade-in voodoo at eb to get Zelda and a pro controller. At most an extra $64 for Zelda and whatever Has Been Heroes will cost.

Console, Pro Controller and Zelda.

€434

I wonder if there are screen protectors day 1...

Edit: wait never mind the screen is capacitive well shit

If by "day one" you mean launch day? Zero.

If you mean "when I feel comfortable owning one in its current state, whenever that may be", that's a difficult thing to answer when I don't even know when that is and what will be available at that time.

Console + Zelda + Charge Grip + 1, 2 Switch (Got forced into that one) so $440.

Saving a 2nd Joy-Con purchase for arms' release.

Depending on how the eShop and region locking is set up, I might download Setsuna and Bomberman from the Japanese side, but not committed at this point.

Console, Zelda, one carrying case (or screen cover) if I can't land an order for the Zelda special edition, one additional USB-C power brick. Down the road I'll grab another micro-SD, but I am holding out as long as possible for price reductions and sales on storage.

I'll be buying the Switch + Zelda + Bomberman...Pro controller is probably a lock too.

So...around 500$+ US with taxes.

Switch + Zelda + Pro Controller: The Thread

Edit: now that I've actually read some stuff about Bomberman, I'm kinda sorta sold on it except for the price. We'll see.

Console + Zelda. Was going to wait but had an opportunity to get a preorder so I went for it.

So what...$370-$380 when it's all said and done.

i am typing 0 yen

but everyone knows i'm a filthy liar and that probably means one for me , one each for my kids and all the games on physical for the kids and then i download them all because i've got turds for brainmatter.

Console 300
Zelda Master Edition 130
1-2-Switch 50
Joy Cons 80 * 2
Messenger bag 30
128GB micro SD card 40
Joy Con straps 15
Charging grip 30
Charging station 30

Just shy of 800 plus taxes.

$305. Switch and Zelda. Used Amazon points to get switch for $250 and 20% prime discount on Zelda. I may consider bomberman after we hear more about it.
