Ok. I got the night scene with one of the girls. Is there only like, one scene each? Am I done with her?

Also, them trading cards are going to make me rich.

Where is the cheapest place to get this right now? Is it just $10 pretty much everywhere?

Oh I guess it's $7.99 on Steam right now. Is that the cheapest?

I think yes. I didn't get any new cg after the first one.

Yes, Steam is the cheapesr option as of now.

Made me chuckle.

But HuniePop wishes that it had remotely the emotional impact of Katawa Shoujo.

Honestly I think it's a fine term to use to describe people on the more radical end of the spectrum, and I'm pretty firmly not in Gamergate or any of that other nonsense.

Yeah the problem is when idiots on /v/ and reddit and the like use it for literally everyone who espouses anything slightly liberal

Oh man. Game is kinda short then. Good thing its cheap.
Yeah, I dom't know. Currently trying to find an end. If not I am just wooing all girls, get all items and call it finished. But it would be rather shitty if that would be the case. A proper end would be nice.

Not computing your logic. One company doing something shitty doesn't a give other companies a free pass to do the same. Sounds like two different entities pulled the same shitty stunt. You should be "hating" on both parties.

The point was I didn't find it appalling in the least, just awkward. I mentioned Mega64 because they did the same thing and I was just as apathetic then despite liking most of their other videos.

Sorry if I worded my logic wrong before.

I'd hide Euro Truck Simulator as well.

You should quote the people to inform them!

I've got exes and their husbands on Steam. And I'm married. Imagine the catty ass shit they'd say if I bought this.

Is it weird that the one thing that stands out from this game for me is the presentation? Speaking strictly of the puzzle mode, everything looks nice and fluid, the little animations are neat, and I like the art style...

I guess I just really like the whole "cute" puzzle game thing, but I don't want to buy an adult game and have everyone see it on my Steam, lol.

(And yes, the whole "SJW" shout-out did bother me, though I try to separate video games from their creators. Otherwise I wouldn't like Sim City, a game which was influenced by Will Wright's political views, as evident by things such as nuclear power plants always melting down.)

Unless there's something dramatic that happens after I score with all 9 women, I think it's safe to start working on a review for this game.

Not looking forward to all of the down-votes it'll get on Steam but whatevs.

I feel you. Game is kind of underwhelming. There are way better games out there that deal with this subject matter, not many of them have these puzzle elements, but there is always puzzle quest.

The term itself doesn't even make sense as an insult. Someone who fights for social justice rights? Social Justice Warrior sounds awesome and noble. So whoever actually is against "SJW" is just odd.

How do you use the items you get from gifts?

If you mean the date items that come in boxes for giving the right gift to someone, then at the bottom of your inventory where it says "gifts & food" hit the arrow key next to that. It'll switch to "date items" and you can drag them down there.

"Motherfucker" doesn't really make a whole lot of sense either and I don't question people who say that either. I don't really use the term a lot but people on the really radical left side ("tumblr feminists") I'd pretty much call a "SJW". "White Knight" sounds kinda cool too but people still understand what you mean when you say it. Insults are weird.

It reminds me of terrible porn flash games i played when i was younger. They just changed the "choose the right answer" dating phase for that puzzle game. Art is ok i guess (the ones you unlock)

Honestly be it for puzzle game or porn game there's far better out there.

Does the game have xinput (360 controller) support?

Also, good to know you can hide games from your Steam library, but is it hiding it from your friends or from your game list?

Started playing and the first girl I got to talk to was Lola. I spent money to buy a couple gifts for her so when it was time to buy her food i no longer had the money for it orz. I'm gonna restart, also because I wanna start out with Jessie!

Just date her anyway. That's your source of money, for some reason.

Ehhhh this was a cute novelty for the lulz but after a while it gets really boring cause there is like zero depth. If they actually made a game out of trying to keep the girls from knowing about each other and have multiple stages of progression it would have been far better.

So I played a couple of hours of HuniePop. I can't get the Steam version to run at all, but the version that I downloaded directly from Humble Bundle works fine.

It's honestly not as bad as I expected, and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. That said:

I agree with pretty much all of this, especially about nothing really changing over the course of the game. I wish there was more character development and more interaction between characters.
I still kind of enjoy the game though.

Yeah, there's not much to the game. It almost feels like that video was the highlight. lol

But I got to stream it for a few hours and have some people from animegaf go crazy, so that's good enough for me.

Hm, from the sounds of things, the game doesn't really hold up. In an alternate reality, I would want HuniePop to ditch the puzzle mechanic and just be that infamous video times 100 as some sort of VN. I'd be all over that, whatever it would be.

The VN part of it basically ends after you met every girl for the first time. I agree that larger parts of it should have been that to make it an interesting trainwreck past the first hour or so. I don't really have any experience with the dating sim genre (although I did play Sprung on DS, lol) but I have to imagine there are better games than HuniePop and its endlessly repetitive match-3 game.

Same. I got to the cup question and I was wondering are they ever go I go mention the relationship aspect between two of the character.

I backed it for the dating SIM aspect but they ripped all elements out of the game. Hell you don't date any of the women. I was okay with sex because sex is part of a relationship and I wanted to support the fact it had options for lesbian's.

It also hurts that Coming out of the closet was so recent and awesome and this could have been that way for women but they didn't put in half the work and time.

Lastly they needed more questions at least. You are done with the whole list with in a few days and they don't even offer anything new as you get to "know" them.

Another possibility.

Say you're out somewhere with Kyanna but then Audrey shows up ready to ruin a perfectly good evening.

The puzzle "dating" game could have turned into a competitive puzzler like Puyo Puyo or Puzzle Fighter.

So much wasted potential.

I mean, if you count Japanese games, there are literally hundreds if not thousands of games. I guess the only thing to do other than "beat" the game is to find out how to unlock the secret girls... that's something?

Again, it sort of depends if you count Japanese games, but there are tons of those as well:

SonoHana has a fairly large fan base that translates each new subsequent release.

That's the thing. Her food meter was at 0 and I ha to buy her food, but of the starting munies I had already spent 900 to buy her 2 gifts, locking me out of being able to date her.
Stupidly I thought I had to chat with the girls and buy them gifts, to enstablish some connection, before they would accept a date, instead I can ask them out on a date first thing. It feels weird actually.

Yeah, as long as they have some food meter filled, you can date them. I haven't hit a hole with money yet, but I assume you can just skip to the next day to recharge their bar if you want to focus on a particular girl.

The fact that the puzzle game gets harder with each subsequent girl makes me wonder if it's just better to do a single route if that's all you're interested in.

I got sent a photo by the teacher and now I can't do anything, its like my screen locked up lol.

Edit: Nevermind figured it out, for some reason my mouse is off with the buttons, I have to click slightly to the side of the boxes. :\

I didn't know this was fully voiced. GAME. CHANGER.

This game is also absolute fucking nonsense. A welcome breath of fresh air in a world where those who makes games, play games, and talk about games on the internet take themselves a little too seriously.

The problem is that the game part is merely okay at best.

I think Seduce Me was better at trying to make the interactions as represented through gameplay more interesting, through a weird card game, but since the game was banned from Greenlight, the game pretty much disappeared and no one cared about it when it came out.

Wow I'm shocked that a game like this is on steam.....wow...just...wow....thats just.....

Wishlisted

I backed it on Kickstarter and upvoted it when it was on Steam Greenlight. Then I evangelized it to my friends.

Anyway, only the Steam version is censored. The versions you get from MangaGamer and HumbleBundle and the Huniepop.com sites are uncensored.

But yeah, for the game to get onto Steam was pretty huge.

lol wait what.

HumbleBundle is non-censored? I'm guessing its DRM Free?

I know of Sono I just avoid the fan base because the one that broke out and became popular is the that looks like a pair of 12 year olds and it unnerved me.

That and I want to support listened efforts so I can buy them in my language and have it be in English so I don't have to mess with my pc region settings to get it to work.

Yes. That is how the folks who bought the game through Kickstarter and Huniepop.com are getting their game: they receive the binaries from HumbleBundle and a Steam key.

EDIT:
I just realized that my "I LIVE for Hentai" post got quoted on NeoGAF No Context. XD

I guess there are the Winter Wolves games, although they aren't voiced.

Why are you reading my tag instead of the title of my post?
So for some reason, it only clicked just now, that when I pre-ordered off the website, they'd supply me with a Steam key. I was waiting for an email the entire day when I remembered that they sent it to me in an email. Downloading now. And to think I was going to go play some Destiny tonight. Maybe I still will.

So uh... I've been trying to beat the final date with Audrey for the last... 20 minutes and it's kinda driving me insane. Trying to scramble for matching tokens in vain as my meter plummets before my eyes, casting all hope into a yawning void is legit more tense than the entirety of Whiplash... Sigh, I wish she'd just kick me out and tell me to go home and be a family man or some shit
